My son brought his laptop for me to see why it is taking forever to start. He stated that Avast nor Malwarebytes found anything. However, I ran an Avast Scan and it found one infected file

Dell

Windows7 Home Premium

This is what Avast found:

File name:

C:\Program Files (X86)Dell DataSave Local Backup\Components

\DsUpdates\DataSafe_Tag_ini_Updat.exe:>DataSafe.ico

Status:Error:Archive is Password Protected (42056)

File name:

C:\Program Files (X86)Dell DataSave Local Backup\Components

\DsUpdates\DataSafe_Tag_ini_Updat.exe:>dif_000001.dif

File name:

C:\Program Files (X86)Dell DataSave Local Backup\Components

\DsUpdates\DataSafe_Tag_ini_Updat.exe:>IRIMGI.BMP

File name:

C:\Program Files (X86)Dell DataSave Local Backup\Components

\DsUpdates\DataSafe_Tag_ini_Updat.exe:>IRIMGI.JPG

C\user\R****\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary INternet

Files\Low\Content.IE5\Q5RUDKCZ\Stat[1].htm

Severity-HIGH

I'm assuming that I should turn off System Restore before doing anything about it....?
