Did not like how long and hard it was to figure out how to get on here again but I managed somehow. I hate change too and don't particularly like this look but, like most things, we'll get used to it eventually. The only thing I really dislike is how hard it is to get from one forum to another. I was over in Roses and wanted to get here to Antiques and I had to go all the way home and find the garden forums and then find the Antique Roses, which wasn't under Roses but off separate. Haven't tried looking for any of the others yet but I think there really has to be an easier way. I regularly went to all the rose forums on GW and I really miss the row of links at the top of the screen we had there. I did a test post of pictures and you can add more than one photo right from your computer. However, you have to add them one at a time into the post. You can just click on 2 or 3 at once and add them. One at a time is all you can do. It is possible to put text in between them but navigating around to do that isn't very easy either. When you add a photo and then try to add text or another photo enter and using the arrow keys keeps jumping me back to the top of the post instead of going to a line below the added photo. Takes many tries to get it to go down instead of up to the top again. I heard you could add up to 4 photos to one post. Let's see! Three four! Shall we go for five and see what happens? Nope 4 is it. When I tried to click on the photo insert icon it wouldn't open. By the by, when you make a post with photos they come up smaller and when you run your cursor over them they enlarge. Later on that goes away and they just show up regular size in your post. Also when you post there is a small pencil icon that shows up in the upper right hand corner of your post that allows you to make edits to your post.

If there is a Costco around they have the Vizio again for $189 and I think they do have demo versions. It generally depends on which of the reader programs you use, and with Android tablets there are several to choose from which would be great so she can see which one is better for her, with kindle it only has the one kindle option. I have about 5 different ereader apps on mine, you can choose font types, size, background color, all sorts of options. The Acer is a nice tablet too.

Click on the blue text that states "Click here to start the process". 11. At this point, the program will list some steps you will need to do before updating your novel. These steps are: 1. Unplugging any other USB mass storage devices from your computer. These kinds of devices include flash drives, cameras, photo frames etc. Keyboards and mice are not considered storage devices so if you have any of those plugged into your USB ports, they are ok to leave plugged in. 2. Powering your Pandigital Novel with the supplied AC adapter (please ignore this step and just be sure that your Pandigital Novel is fully charged before you attempt the upgrade process). 3. Connect your Pandigital Novel to your computer using the USB cable that was supplied with your device. 4. Power your Pandigital Novel on (your Novel will go into "PC Mode"\- this means that your Novel will be inoperable while connected to your computer). 12. Once you have completed these steps, please click on "Ok" to advance to the next step. 13. The Updater Application will then display a screen and ask you to confirm the details of your device (serial number, model number, etc.). Confirm these details by clicking on the "Confirm" button. 14. You will now begin the download process. (This process can take some time depending on your computer and your internet speed). 15. Once you have finished the download the screen will display that you have successfully downloaded the firmware update. At this point you will see another text box on appear on your screen giving you more instruction. These instructions will include: 1. Removing your Pandigital Novel device from your computer 2. Informing you that your Novel may or may not turn itself off, if it does not turn itself off, please power the Novel completely off by pressing the power button and choosing the "power off" option. 3. Now it will ask you to power your Novel back on in a very specific way. Please press the power and volume up button (located on the top of your device and is the + key) at the same time (not one and then the other, they must be pressed at the same time) for 10 seconds. Please do these steps until you see two lines of white text appear at the top of your screen that states the boot count and firmware version. As soon as you see these lines of text, let go of the power and volume + buttons. This should begin the update process in the form of a blue progress bar appearing at the bottom of the screen that will state things like "verifying update." If you have reached this screen your Novel is now updating properly. If you do not see this screen, please power your device off once more and try the activation process of holding the power and volume + buttons again. Do not be discouraged if this takes a few tries, and be sure you are holding the edge of the power + button; holding it too close to the middle will not activate the update. 4. Once the update is complete, please power off your Pandigital Novel completely, then reconnect the device to your computer using the USB cable and power it on after it is plugged in. 5. Click on "Ok". This will then run a process called a "restore". Once this has finished please disconnect your novel and once more perform the activation process of holding down the power and volume + buttons. You will again get another blue progress bar at the bottom of your screen when done correctly. 16. Congratulations! You have now updated your Pandigital Novel successfully! I have attached a new user manual for your use as the interface of your Novel has now changed to the most recent version. We hope you enjoy your Novel even more now and make use of all of the newest features! Happy Reading!

marita there has been updates to your model the final official Asus firmware update for the device is 4.0.3, released in July of 2012. The build number ends in .27 I have found the links for the firmware update for you, I will link it below. However it would be much easier if you would try getting over the air through the tablet, try doing as I suggested, settings, about tablet, system update and have it connect and scan for one. Watch the notifications bar for a download arrow and check the notifications list for any downloads, if you see it click it and select to install it. Otherwise you will have to go to the link below and find the proper firmware for your specific tablet, it's critical that you get the one for the right sku, it tells you there how to determine your own sku, I would think that it would be the US one. Now from what I read directly from Asus they are not issuing a Jellybean update for the 101 versions. I think I would try contacting Asus support and find out more about the firmware update that is offered there on their site and what options you have, and also how to get the updates over the air as you should. I wish I could help more but that's about it. Of course there's always the option to go to the xda forums and have them help you install a custom ROM that they have created which will allow you to have the latest Jellybean. This link takes you there where an Asus support tech actually suggested that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091679 Here is a link that might be useful: firmware update
