IMHO, those look fine and will no doubt do just great. I have ordered from many different sellers and I have gotten some like that and they took off without any trouble. The outer leaves always turn yellow eventually anyway and will send up new green shoots from the center. The roots look great. I don't know where you got them but in colder zones like mine it is normal for daylily foliage to look yellow and ratty this time of year as the cold sets in. And keep in mind most of the country was in a drought this past summer. Not to worry because daylilies are very tough and forgiving plants! I had one order that the post office messed up big-time and sent to New Mexico....(I live in New Hampshire...duh!) I couldn't understand what was taking my package so long to get here because the vendor told me it had been mailed. Two weeks later it finally arrived, damaged and with a New Mexico postmark. The box was smashed and the plants were completely yellow and dried up. I doubted they were still alive but I soaked them for a couple days and a year later you cannot tell them apart from the others who got a better start. Celeste

Candy, I've bought and sold on eBay since 1999, and rarely was a thing broken. Your package probably was insured, tho the post office should have mentioned if so. Most sellers on eBay are really nice to deal with. I think I've only left negative feedback twice in all these years. IF the plate was packed good, it really was the PO fault and not the Seller's. That being said about my good experiences as an eBay,... last week I recieved TWO out of 4 things broken. All were packed very well and I think PO is handling things way too rough right now. (it use to be UPS I didn't trust with fragile things). If y'all remember, I was delighted to get some new Cherubs. Finding them damaged upset me. For the PO to pay the insurance, they take and toss the item. I told the sellers that I was going to keep and glue the the items (each had one clean break and was easy to glue luckily) Neither could be replaced by the Sellers as they were estate finds, and I didn't want the PO to trash them. Both sellers offered compensation but I turned it down as I felt it wasn't their fault at all with their good packing. Had they packed carelessly I'd have let them know in no uncertain terms. Last week I think I commented, when buying Cherubs, that I had no idea why I was surrounding myself with this little things suddenly....I think know why now. hugs, Karen

Dianela, I was told years ago by the owner of Palatine that Tantau had no agent here in the US, so they couldn't sell their line of roses here. The older, off patent roses, have been sold for decades in the US. It's the newer ones that are affected. By the term "agent", they must have meant a distributor, plus a US grower would be needed. Before Palatine, Hortico sold Augusta Luise (that is the original spelling, and AL's name is trademarked, but she is not patented, I guess) for a couple of years, and another great rose, which I grow and got from Hortico, called Bernstein-Rose. I would say that Tantau's marketing strategy is worse than David Austin's (when they do the mysterious discontinuation of Evelyn that seems to come and go). I must be on a permanent soapbox when it comes to Tantau, and it's getting worse. Why would a company, well established, that could make a fortune over here, not give it a try? Plus, think of the money they are losing by sending all of us those beautiful catalogs. Diane

Hi Alexandra, keeping in and you temporary liw budget and using the cabinets and appliance for the color scheme I put tower some options in an ugly unmatched kitchen idea book but here are some of my picks from it below. in addition I would spray paint your cabinet hinges a matte black and for your door (assuming pantry by the fridge either matte black for it and the trim or using white distressing wax to give it more character or stain it with weather wash stain. hope this helps the wallpaper for above the cabinets but if you don't like that then a nice creamy white paint would be nice.
