Before you get topsoil, please call some landscapers in to evaluate the overall drainage profile of your lot. The proper tool to clean up your mess is a tractor with a box blade on the back. The landscaper can do this job in a morning and be gone so it takes no time at all. If you try to do it yourself, it can be done but you'll get plenty of exercise. Let the landscaper decide if you need more soil or if you have too much and need to haul some away. He'll handle it either way. When the landscaper leaves the soil will be ready for whatever you decide to do. You'll have to put down sod or seed if you want the uniform look of grass. Otherwise you'll get a mix of plants growing that other people might call weeds. If you mow the plants every week it will look green but maybe it won't be a candidate for House Beautiful.

stargazer if you click on blackvipers site on the version of Windows you have it takes you to the page for that list of services, then there it list all services you might find on a pc, he then gives a list of if it can be set to manual, auto, disabled etc, this is doing it through services rather than msconfig which is a better way to do it and that way sets it for all users. all versions of XP x86 (32-bit) running Service Pack 3 that would be the link for anyone running xp service pack3 Configuration Information he explains the various options on settings, and also explains how to find the services area to do the changes. Service Configurations under that heading you will see the full list of services you might find listed on your pc, to the right of each service name you look for your particular version of XP, Home, Pro which will be most people, then see what he suggest under that heading for each service if he says manual set it to manual if it says disable that means it can be set to disable, if he says auto it should be set to auto. Tigerdunes - yes all my systems are getting a work out this week. We lost power for 4+ hours on Monday and all 4 HVAC units were working hard to get the house back to comfortable. The gas units (including the new bedroom one) warmed things up pretty quickly - all in second stage. My basement unit (heat pump and electric strips) was a real problem. The condenser froze up with the rain/sleet and the defrost cycle wouldn't clear it. We ran until today on the strips only (can't wait to see the electric bill) before I could chip all the ice off the condenser and get it running properly again. Forecast is for low teens the next day or two - so they will all be working hard for the next couple of days. Glad I signed up for a low 12 month fixed gas rate. To the other poster - not sure why the comments on zoning - my house is zoned by having different units (one for each floor and a separate one for the master bedroom), not a mechanical zoning system.

Than you for that link. I checked & I don't have any tiny holes, which makes me think it's something else, the small yellowing turned brown but no holes. I washed leaves with mild soap water. Any other ideas?
