I have voles and possibly moles. I've seen the voles (mouse-like creatures) but I have loads of tunnels in the yard. So maybe that is a mole. Farm stores and big box home and garden stores have granules which are labeled non toxic and won't harm pets. You have to get the granules into the tunnels and water it in. My understanding is you water and do more granules going towards the end of your property lines, driving them away. To be honest, I did not want to fool with the watering part. There was also an earthworm-looking bait, it looked like a fake rubber earthworm, supposedly they eat it and it kills them. I didnt' want to use this becoz I have a small dog, and altho I don't think she would get into the tunnel and eat the earthworm bait, one never knows. And then poison bait not eaten will get into the environment. The next gizmos were solar-powered and battery-powered sonic emitters. The thing made a beep every 30 seconds, which I didn't like. So far I have decided not to intervene, becoz, while I have lots of tunnels, I don't see any plant damage, all my bulbs are up etc. So we are peacefully co-exisiting at the moment. Laurie

Hi Looser! Sorry, it's been a busy week! The Cabrio dryer and the Duet 9200 (not the Sport) both are 7.0 cubic foot capacity. I got the Duet dryer because I refused to get a dryer with a top lint filter. I used one for 3 years when living in a apartment over my in-laws, and I hated trying to clean it, lint would fly everywhere. My family (myself included til I got the Cabrio in March) has always owned Kenmores. The Kenmore dryers had front lint filters (by the door) and they are much easier to clean, and easy to take off the front panel to get out any lint that might bypass the filter. So that is why I have a Cabrio washer and a Duet dryer. I really like the Duet dryer, it is very quiet, easy to use, and really does not take that much longer to dry than my old Kenmore. It does, however, dry better. The sensor dry on the Duet actually leaves cloths dry when set at normal, the Kenmore left thicker items damp even when set to more dry. Only time will tell how happy I will be with the Duet, but my initial reaction is I made the right choice. So do you have a new Bosch set? What did you get? I started with the Bosch 500 and switched to the Cabrio, my floor is "flexible" (that is what they told me) so I can't use a front loader. I love my Cabrio washer, but could not get past the filter with the dryer - plus I have read that it is rather loud. Something you just mentioned! Since my laundry room shares a wall with my kitchen and dining room I like to keep things quiet if possible.

Ummmmmm.........that's exactly what pre-emergent herbicides do - keep unwanted plant seeds from germinating. But I agree with floral. You need to kill off the existing weeds, then improve the conditions for the lawn. A healthy, lush lawn is able to out-compete a lot of weed development. Investigate undergoing an springtime lawn care renovation program that involves overseeding after you have properly dispatched all current weeds. Once you have accomplished that and the lawn is doing well, you can apply a pre-emergent to prevent any blown in or bird-dropped seed from germinating and sprouting. Corn gluten meal is moderately effective in this regard plus it is an organic nutrient source.

I'd cut a piece of sheet metal to fit and install from the outside. there is no access path for us to go to the area from the attic Sometimes you need to make your own, cutting an access maybe in a closet ceiling, or the wall of a closet etc.
