Problem with CD-ROM Functioning.

horton

I have two CD-ROM drives on my computer,

When I tried to burn some information onto a CD-R disc using either one, I receive error messages that state:-

E:\ is not accessible.

Incorrect Function

or

D:\ is not accessible.

Incorrect Function.

I can play music from, view saved documents from, etc, from any disc, but I cannot burn onto a disc for some reason?

The last time I had occasion to burn information onto a CD-R was in October of 2008 and it worked fine at that time.

I have not used the drives to burn onto discs since that time.

I did have a problem with that Antivirus XP 2008 Trojan, in November and had to have my computer cleaned out and the Windows XP Professional and other programs reinstalled.

I don't know if that has anything to do with this newly found problem?

Below is the details of both drives.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
