Azinoh "Maybe we had different download sites?" That's possible. I downloaded directly from www.avast.com. If you did not, who knows what you actually downloaded. Could possibly have something to do with your very slow download also. ========================== Sunday 04-13: My version is 2014.9.0.2013 and now there is a new; 2014.9.0.2016. Well updating from the interface update just didn't seem to go so I went to the Avast.com site to download the dot.exe file. Clicking on download takes you to CNET. I now realize my original download was therefore thru CNET. So much for getting Avast from Avast. From Google it would seem cnet hasn't got the best of reputations any more in fact lots of complaints about extra programs foisted off on ya. Guess so. I went to File Hippo for the 84.55M file. Then googled that and there seems to be problems with the 2014.9.0.2016 version. So I'll skip it for now. Maybe let it age a bit. FH seems to have a good rep but most mssgs I found about them were several years old.

grands, I do feel pretty sure that his site being religion Is why he is blocked..I do believe he is blocked. He is just going somewhere else & not take chances. Now days religion seems to be a bad word..we just have to try & keep going..we can't let them win. I went in a site of complaints about the site (no avast warning) Many have just had their site deleted with no warning & some didn't even have it backed up. David has his backed up on 2 thumb drives. He does it at least once a day. Since he is disabled he has spent MANY MANY hours working on it. He lost one of his favorite webhosting sites but there are others. In the past few days I have been visiting some "questionable" sites in hopes of finding a certain prescription drug for a friend at a reasonable price. It is an older generic drug, but is one that is suddenly in very short supply. To make a long story short, Avast and/or Chrome also warned me regarding two different sites before I proceeded to open them. I had deliberately disregarded WOT's ratings, knowing that they automatically condemn all foreign pharmacies. But these two sites obviously contained malware, or I would not have received the warnings. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in finding the medication at any of the foreign pharmacies except for one, and the price there was as expensive as it is at her local pharmacy. It's a darned shame that this is happening to people who need certain medications desperately. I understand that some cancer drugs are also in very short supply, or even unavailable. By the way, there is an organization which rates foreign pharmacies, and using their rating, I was able to obtain a medication for myself at 1/3 the cost in the US, even with my Medicare insurance plan. These pharmacies do require a prescription from your physician and will not ship without such.

Thanks all. I get the message when I boot the computer. I'm not on line at all. I tried to find more info on this. I have tried to post the information I found but GW keeps blocking my post saying I'm posting profanity or illegal content!! According to Wikipedia, this is a form of virus. GW won't let me type the name. I have tried to rearrange my post so many times, I'm not sure it makes sense but GW keeps deleting my post. I don't understand what this all means but said it is involved with servers or blogs? I don't have a blog although I have read a few. There is also a suggestion about Java, but again, I don't understand. I can't offer what I discovered because Garden Web won't let me. I looked at the AVAST forum but they are old posts going back to 2010-2011. So I'm wondering if I'm infected as the warning keeps popping up? I haven't had any problems with the computer, all my scans come out clean but it seems this is something which changes code? I don't understand all the technicals of computers and not sure how to proceed. Wow, I just tried to give the link to Wikipedia and got a warning from GW that I was posting an illegal link.
