Do you still need this? Open IE, in the top menu bar to the right of view; click Favorites. While pointing the mouse to the 1st name listed, right click & then select sort by name near the bottom of the drop down window. What I usually do is make folders in the "Links" entry for my favorite sites. I have a folder for Computer, Forums, House. My most used links go there. I set IE & Firefox to either open with about 10 different sites or one browser I used in XP called Crazy Browser had an option to load the last open tabs. I'm on Vista now and haven't loaded Crazy Browser on it yet. Boy do I miss it.

When you speak of upgrading "my Dell computer", you're not speaking of installing an upgrade over top of XP are you? If so, I misunderstand, so disregard the rest of my post. :) So I'm assuming you intend to purchase a retail version of Windows 7 and do a clean install. In the first line of your post you mention 512 MB of RAM, a date, and then 2.00 GB of RAM. Does that mean it now has 2.00 GB of RAM or maybe 2 1/2 GB of RAM? Either way, I'm no expert but I'd think 512 MB is less than enough, but either 2 or 2 1/2 GB would be fine. I don't know much about Office, but wasn't Office 2003 was the last version that had the old style menu, before the newfangled ribbon came along. According to this, your Office 2002 would not be compatible but according to this, Office 2003 would be. Would your 2002 macros work in 2003? I don't know. Would it be worth the expense of buying a retail version of Windows 7, as well as Office 2003(or at least Word)? To me, probably not, to you, only you can decide. Personally, since it works, I'd probably just continue using it. Continue running a good real-time AV, occasionally scanning with a couple on-demand malware tools(Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware come to mind), use Firefox or Chrome(lie detected), using the WOT add-on(trusting it somewhat less than fully), and being careful what I open(email) and what I install. Just my opinion though. Edit: GrammerGrammar Edit2: Spelling This post was edited by chuggerguy on Thu, Jan 23, 14 at 3:10

Hmm, let's see if we can explain this for you. You cannot create an image of XP then transfer that to Win7. Why? Because you would wipe the Win 7 off the computer and have XP back again, not what is wanted. However you can back up all your personal data to either a CD, DVD, thumb drive or external drive to be copied back easily enough. Possibly most of your 'stuff' is in sub folders of My Documents so simply save My Documents. Then save your Favourites, Address Book and what ever else you need saved. Once you are satisfied that all your data has been safely saved you can insert the Win7 CD and reboot the computer. Hopefully your BIOS is set to seek the CD/DVD player first, if so simply follow along with the instructions that appear onscreen. One option offered if I remember correctly is to format the hard drive - or just the C: partition if you have the drive partitioned. hen you get the option to proceed with the install. You will have been warned that proceeding will erase all data currently on the C: drive of course. Once Win 7 is behaving nicely you can insert what ever you saved your My Documents onto and copy the contents to Documents in Win 7. My documents does not exist in Win 7 it is just Documents.

Chiming in late, but wanted to say after reading the posts, gsciencechick, you never have to be embarrassed with us. We're are all here to help each other. Whether you have a big kitchen or small kitchen, old or new, we want to see it be the best it can be within each person's budget constraints. That said, I think your kitchen is very cute and has huge potential! alex's link to that white kitchen with the blue backsplash can give you the inspiration to take your kitchen in a direction without breaking the bank. As you search through the kitchen forum, you will see many people who have done amazing things to their kitchens all by themselves with paint and tile and light fixtures, knobs and pulls etc and are very pleased with the result. You'll get lots of good ideas here. Some you will like, others you won't. No one is offended if you don't take them and do them. Just keep posting and eventually you will have a kitchen you and DH are very proud of.
