Building a Home

Looking for a good Builder

I am going to build a home in northwest houston. I am looking for some reputable, good quality builders to bid on my home project. I would truly appreciate some references. I have found this forum to be a very helpful, knowledgeable and trustworthy resource.

Just curious, some of your previous posts indicate you had already been working with a builder, did your deal fall thru? If so any advise about which NW Houston builders may be not so good?

We are building in southwest Florida and could not be happier with our builder. If there is anyone reading from that area, indicate your interest and I will provide the information.

hi msphynx, i'm in the same boat as you - i have 3 quotes from Atlanta PBs and can't make a decision (Hilltop, Atlantis and CSD Pools). I have called Artistic today so I'll get their quote and probably Olympic based on feedback from friends. The more PBs I talk to the more I seem to get confused. Let me know what you find out because this is a tough and big decision. Good Luck!

We went with Clearwater Pools, but they haven't started yet. We are scheduled for install to begin Aug. 16. They sell fiberglass pools. We went with fiberglass, because of size limitations. We are have a small 12x24 Baja put in. They do have website. Joe Cecil is the owner and very easy to work with.

I have not dealt with all of these builders yet but we are in the far North Dallas area and will be doing a pool this fall. I am a information fanatic so I have been doing serious research on lots of local builders (Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney area). Here is the list I have of the ones I have put on the top of my list.... Claffey, Clear Tech, Hauk, Venture, Robertson, Benchmark. This may help you get a list together to start if you are in my area. Good luck!!

This may come way too late, but also in response to jkktx1, we're in Sugar Land, and we're in the late stages of building our pool...we're using San Jacinto Pools, and it's been a fantastic experience. I would recommend them to anyone. The owner's great. He told us 30 days, and here we are at the end of two weeks, and it's almost done. He designed exactly what we wanted, his crews are very efficient and professional, I could not have wished for a better experience.
