Have you checked your browsing history?
It may still be listed there if too much time hasn't passed.

If the index.dat file hasn't been modified then
the address will be stored in there.

I have my browsers set to retain history for 30 days.
It helps greatly for times like this.

Pooh Bear is right. Might still have the history.

If you hold down the Ctrl (Control) key and hit the H key it should display your history of Web sites visited.

Darn! It ain't in the history.

but it seems I have forgotten how. I can't find it
on my own computer (XP Home). Time to do some Google searching.

Index.dat files are hidden by default. To make index.dat files visible, you should enable Explorer to view hidden and system files:

1. Select Start -> Settings -> Control panel.

2. Select Folder Options.

3. In the "Folder Options" window open "View" folder.

4. In Advanced Settings open "Files and Folders" and
Select "Display the content of system folders"
Open "Hidden files and folders" and select "Show hidden files and folders"

5. Click OK

History index.dat files location - Windows XP:

\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\History\History.IE5\index.dat
\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\History\History.IE5\MSHist[digits]\index.dat

I use Windows XP home edition.
I opened Windows Explorer.
Clicked Tools>>Folder Options>>View Menu
Unchecked Hide Protected Operating System Files.
Show Hidden Files and folder was already checked.
Clicked Apply to all folders. Clicked Apply/OK.
It still wasn't there.
