I have a Breville and really like it. It saves heating up our large oven if you just want to do a small to medium roast, chicken, casserole, etc. It does a good job broiling a few items such as melting cheese on a few open-face sandwiches. However, if you make toast regularly, or are in a hurry in the morning, I would keep your toaster since it will make toast more quickly than the Breville.

Dchall, that is not an aloe ... it has flat leaves and razor sharp sawtooth edges that cut. Pagan has the correct ID. Here are 3 more unidentified ones (not the adeniums): The one on the left has a longer leaf with shorter saw-teeth, similar to the above, like a pineapple top. The two on the right, I grabbed off a tree ... actually grabbed several. These are air plants, just nestled in the corner slot of my adenium table. The bromeliad is interesting to me because they survive dangling off a tree, potted or planted inground, or just sitting in any crevice. Very versatile!

Maria Elena, I too have seen these eggs on my plants very occasionally. They used to appear overnight on a couple of leaves like yours. I used to just pull them off thinking they were either garden spider or moth eggs. I had also seen the green bugs with see through wings occasionally too, thinking they were some type of dragonfly. Liz, thanks for posting the information. I now know not to chase these bugs away if I see them and that I should probably leave the eggs alone next time. It is so handy that we can share information and that we all become more aware of what is in our garden. Thanks again. :)

Thanks, everyone! Per your advice, I texted the mom to let her know. I've got an extra large container of special hummus and fresh pita from a Greek market near us for her to share with everyone and she also made a huge batch of vegan cookies to share. The rest of the things are not that shareable (vegan hot dog, hamburger and 2 wraps), but I think they should blend with whatever else is being eaten. I'm really proud that she can do this and wish I had her strength of will as I do believe it is healthier for her and the planet. She doesn't budge at all, even when I source ethically farmed eggs, etc. But, as many have said, it is a HUGE pain in the butt. Thanks again for the advice. ETA: She is 15 and, you're right sushipup, I should have had her do the talking. I'm usually pretty good about making my girls take care of that sort of thing themselves - if only b/c I find it excruciatingly painful and don't want to do it myself.
