The Jacuzzi Cetra 60x32 soaking tub is 16.3 inches to the overflow valve. The 17 7/8 is to the top of the inside of the tub. The Cetra is 20.5 inches high on the outside, only 1.5 inches taller to step over than the Archer. Jacuzzi has a lifetime warranty. The Kohler Archer is 15 inches to the overflow valve. It only has a one year warranty, plus I have read many reviews about the Archer cracking. Why gamble with a Kohler, when they only back their quality with a one year warranty?

The filler or spout is not the limiting factor in how quickly your tub will fill. It's the valve ! A faucet , wall or otherwise will only put out 2.2 gallons a minute not exactly a quick fill. You need a high flow valve at least 4 gallons a minute but preferably more. Kohler makes several going up to about 20 gal a min. kulagal, the Osaka whirlpool is $2650, the LED light option is $280. They have an "Onsen Spa" option if you want to make it like a regular hot tub and it is even outdoor-approved, but I wasn't interested in that so I don't have the price for that option. arielitas_mom, I agree about sitting in the tubs before buying! You just never really know what is comfortable until you try it...just looking at pictures, I thought the Aquatic Millenium IX would be more comfy than the Neptune Osaka. Little did I realize that the sitting up position in a cozy tub is a lot more "me" than reclined sitting with legs straight out in a giant-sized tub! For me, since we have a round alcove built for the tub, I only tested the round tubs. The limited selection sure made my decision easier, though! ;)

I have the stackable and would stop about 30 seconds into cycle and in spin mode would only spin slowly. Wax motor was new style and R11 was not visibly damaged, but another resister was. I replaced the resister and could only get intermittent use from the washer. Ran motor control test and tub spun for 30 seconds. Did not see any visible issues with motor control board. Saw a post about a fuse under the heat sink on the motor control board so I took the heat sink off and looked for the fuse that I could not find. However noticed that the connection from the chips on the board that get hot to the heat sink had very minimal and quite dried out thermal compound between them. Cleaned off, added more compound that I have from cleaning my laptop cooling fan (I used Arctic Silver) and reassembled. So far, success and washer seems to spin faster (clothes are drier coming out) than before. I could see the board becoming hot, increasing the resistance and causing this issue. Heat sink seems hotter than before too, indicating better heat transfer away from the board. Since the board in at the bottom and there is a dryer on the top, I could see this as being clogged with lint, however, this was not an issue on mine.
