Sharing - 'Ultimate Yard Sale' With You-Pic Heavy

Okay...so I've talked about going on Sat to the 'Ultimate Yard Sale'... I couldn't resist sharing the 'Experience' with you. I did pretty good. It was very crowded but exciting. People were in a 'buying frenzy' and things were going fast. Lots of great stuff..but I have enough of that already. I was there for Dishes & Glassware!

I took a picture of the sign...but Geezzzzz they DID NOT change the Sign from the One they Had In May... So, don't be confused by that...It WAS this Sat...Sept 19th!! lol

Here's one of Me, making my First Purchase in the first 5 Minutes!!

8 Pink Floral China Plates - $12....The Blue & White Churchill Tea Pot - $3... The White Gravy Boat - $3...

I know, if it's one thing I don't need another one of...It's another Tea Pot...But how could I resist for only $3

Photo is not true color of the dishes which are actually a Butter Yellow w/Basketweave design... 4/$2...The apple napkin rings - 4/$1... 8 Silver Coasters - $.50...

The Bunny - $.50... 6 Burgandy Napkins (new) $2... 8 Toile Napkins - $3.... 2 Yds Checked Fabric - $1..

This Pitcher is even more pretty in person.. $3.

Finally... The 2 Hurricane Candle Holders (on left) - $5...

and the Pink Depression Glasses - $10...

Well...hope you enjoyed the 'Experience'..

I'll be back there Columbus Weekend when they have their Regular Flea Market, with 600 Dealers!!

What fun! That's my dream day...hundreds of yard sales in one place! All the things you bought are lovely, and such great bargains. I love the yellow basketweave plates, if only they came in green, and the pink Depression glass (pink is not ordinarily my color but I have pink glass dishes for spring and Easter). You put together such lovely tables (your fall one with apples is very nice, I'm going to steal some ideas) and I'm sure we're all waiting for you to use your new finds!

Thanks for sharing (I'm jealous).

Wow, I have got to get out more. Jane, those are fabulous finds. I love the yellow dishes, and the rose ones will be perfect for Valentine's. Your depression glass was a great find. Can't wait to see the table creations, that you'll be coming up with. - Gail

First let me say I LOVE your wallpaper!!! Can you believe my covetous eyes were drawn to that even moreso than those gorgeous lamps??? As for everything else... well, you know I must hate you now. Sorry, you left me no choice. Gorgeous wallpaper, perfect finds... if you expect anything less from me aside from hate and jealousy then you've truly forgotten who I am!! LOL!!! The 'Ã§hook' (chicken) and squirrel stole my heart. So can you please send them to Oz so I can have it back? LOL Congrats!!!

Vera, You're scaring me! :-) "Big Head" is definitely going to be cut for flowers or the point before it goes to seed...most definitely...and then, it's getting watched real closely for signs of "bully-ism". Tiffy, The big leafed plant with the purple edge is Coral Bells Purple Palace (at least I'm 90 % sure it is). I did WS Ligularia "Othello" last year, planted it out in the fall, but I don't see it at all this year. I'm not sure if it survived. I did two other types of Ligularia this year, one was "clivorum" rather than "dentata". That one has a little sprout and I'm nursing it carefully (and afraid to transplant it yet. I probably should just go for it and put it out-- but out of all the seeds in the packets for the two different varieties, I only have one seedling.) PV, The shade garden is just starting to do it's thing...the white Astilbes are just starting to come out. I figure the shade garden will be ready for a picture in a day or two. I'm thinking of getting some white Stargazer lillies to put there and move the pinkish/orange ones to the patio bed. What do you think? Drippy and Rosepedal, Thanks so much for the comments :-) I do like that Malva...it's one of the things I can depend on popping up and giving me something nice to look at while I wait for other things to bloom. I have Mystic Merlin seedlings, but I'm still trying to figure out where to put those. I don't want to put them close to the Zebrina because I had Zebrina before, and it seemed to meld into looking just like the Zebrina the following year. Funny how that happens. Thanks everyone...I will be taking it slow....I've learned alot from GW and know not to go too fast. This summer, I will be working on the shady spots under the pergola and trellises, and along the fence line to get some privacy. I already have key lime, mandarin orange, and a little lemon tree to plant. Also two types of avocado, malay apple, and a peach tree mom bought me that I really don't think is for my zone, but she looks for it everytime she come down (its completely bare right now) :-) I have been keeping plants in pots for a couple years now waiting for my new home :-)I had to leave alot of stuff that I got from GWers at my old home, because my garden sold the house (I really believe it did, it was so lush and full) and I figured the people would be really mad if they closed on the house and the yard was empty. I did manage to bring my vanilla orchid, jewel orchid, a few broms that were in a strawberry pot...I also took seeds of cassia and 4 o'clocks. So I have enough stuff to keep me busy when the weather gets warm until the next swap :-)

Thank you....that's it, FULL MOON!!! Well, I'll be looking for a source to get one for next winter. Not the right time to get it now. I only have THREE, could always use a little more beautiful shade, and a good view from every window of the house.

Jane, you are just as cute as a bug's ear girl! And you look so happy out there finding all those wonderful treasures too! ;o)

Love that pitcher, the plates with the roses, the yellow ones too, those candle holders, the depression glass and that pretty teapot--gosh I just love it all--and what great prices too!

Like the others, I'll be watching for these finds in your future table settings.

Jane...if jealousy is a sin, then boy I am just a'sinning away here. LOL. You found some neat stuff, and definitely the blue n white teapot was a MUST HAVE.
Gosh, that yard sale looks like heaven to me. I'd have needed a big truck by the time I was thru there. LOL

Jane, how nice to see a pic of you...and doing something we would all enjoy! You got some TERRIFIC things and at great prices! I have been on the look out for some pink plates and I'd love those pink floral ones you got! That two-sided gravy boat is fantastic too. Love the hurricane candleholders...oh, everything is so pretty, including you!

I really wish we ALL could have gone there together. That would have been such a blast. Imagine comparing and admiring each others purchases afterwards!

Magpie... The lady that I bought the Yellow dishes from, DID have them in Green!! She was trying to convince me to buy them too. She had 7 - for $3... A great price. I already have green so I didn't need those... All the dishes were Never Used!!

ncnana...That's exactly what I had in mind with those pink dishes and glasses - Valentine's Day!! :)

karen...don't think of it as 'jealousy and sinning'... Gosh girl..We would ALL meet down below one day, for that.. Think of it as 'Greatly Admiring' all my Stuff! ...hehehe

DD.. I'm in love with that Gravy Boat too. Been wanting one like that and this one is in Perfect Condition. It has such pretty, raised detailing on it. Those hurricane candleholders are a great size..and are smaller than ones I already have. I think they'll come in very handy too.

Now ladies, if ONLY I had Magpie or DD's Dish Storage to put them away in. That's what I'll be doing today...rearranging my space and looking for More Space!!

OMG, so many wonderful treasures in one day, Jane! Lucky, lucky you!!! Love the pressed glass pitcher, and the silver coasters and the pink depression glass and the . . . oh gosh, I love it all! Big congrats!

Wow, nice haul. Thats so cool to have hundreds of yard sale all in one place - I would go crazy!! I love everything you got and at such a great price too. The pink rose plates are fantastic!!

I wanna go!!! You did well! I am surprised to see your sweater, it is warm here..we went to the ocean yesterday, people were swimming!
Anyway, I love it all...yes, who could resist a teapot for $3?? And so pretty too..
I LOVE those napkin rings!! I need them to go with my apple dishes!!
Can't wait for Columbus Day!

kathleen girl!! I was wondering about you, and figured you were recouperating from your family party this weekend.
Sounds like you had fabulous weather ...Swimming!! wow.
As for my sweater..it started out cool, in the 50's..but then after noon...it started to heat up and I took it off.

I'm looking forward to seeing some tables from you...I'll be checking out your blog too.
