We got a Cassani shower mirror. It comes with a hook, but I used a metal-look Command hook rated for bathroom/wet area use to hang it up. My husband really likes it, you hold it under the running water for a few moments to warm it up, then hang it back on the hook. I could imagine something looking more "high end", but this doesn't look bad, goes in easily, and if you use a Command hook you can always take it down later if you find something better. I know this doesn't answer your question. But our experience, we had a "larger" (not large enough) flat mirror that we were going to replace with an even larger one. Took it off the wall to discover the hole where the old medicine cabinet HAD been. I said HUH, no wonder that spot never really got fogged over! Also found a hammer, just sitting on the ledge. That wasn't really that exciting of a find because it wasn't terribly old or good quality. Nevertheless, it is now in my toolbox. :D So to recap, if you leave the hole open, the mirror will most likely always have a clear spot right when you step out of the shower, if that's important to you. I would have a mirror-less vanity in a heartbeat, but most people seem to like mirrors over the sink for shaving (DH), or if they wear makeup or contact lenses. Mirror somewhere also is handy if you trim your own hair or even just check that there isn't something stuck in your teeth :-) If you wait a few years, maybe something like this will be widely available: Switchable mirror/glass
