Our Souv. de Gilbert Nabonnand and Clementina Carbonieri are the same rose. The first curator, Ed Wilkinson, thought SdeGN was the correct name, but most nurseries sell it as CC. Vintage, Rogue Valley and Greenmantle sell it.

We haven't yet but are pretty sure we are going to use it on our house that is under construction. It's a bungalow and will have a lighter gray stone skirt. We got a sample from a local building supply store. Our builder didn't have the iron gray in his sample box. There are a few photos of houses with it on the Hardie web site. I don't really like it with all the light trim they show though. We will have a black roof (architectural shingles), gray soffits etc., white window frames, black shutters. Right now the front door is white but we might paint it red. We were looking for a dark / charcoal gray and the only other one we found was a premium vinyl, which we were told was more expensive than the hardie. I’m not sure what part of the country you’re in I’m in Massachusetts and they didn’t even offer a pewter here but they did offer pewterwood which is like a dark gray. Moire Black is black with a little shading. I also had the hardest time in the world it actually caused me so much stress that I think I just gave in to Certainteed charcoal. I did want a contrast between a light colored body house and a dark roof so we did charcoal and Cape cod gray Maibec shingles and I am happy with it. However after I did mine I had seen Georgetown gray on some roofs which is lighter than pewterwood it’s on the gray side with a little bit of green or blue in the background of it. The color variants are very subtle and nice they don’t stand out it is a gray roof if you like something lighter. Keep in mind when selecting certainteed that certain teed pro and premium the colors are basically the same but regular Certainteed shingles the colors are different from the upgraded shingles even if the name is the same. It’s a little tricky.

Hello from southern Germany. I do not have so much to give, but we breeded a new pumpkin with a white moon in orange sunburst (picture) last year. It weighed 2 kg but this year we grew 9 to 17 kg, cause we pollinated with an Atlantic Giant in the first season and selfed in the second. We also breeded a C. maxima we have named Acorneti, since it has the size of an Acorn like Table King but is more sweet, cause we breeded a C. maxima of the Kabocha group with the cantaloupe Tigger as pollinator. We also grew a C. maxima called "Big Cindy": it looked like the Cinderella pumpkin but is much better for the use as crudités and fine food. Our greatest Big Cindy weighed 24 kg. We also have more varieties of the acorneti style: they are greater, flat to roly-poly, green-grey ones and different mottled orange. We made tiny little C. pepo (12 cm orange and 14 cm green) to paint on (nearly no ripping) or just for decoration. And we breeded the biggest Butternut squash all 40 cm long and 25 cm thick. We also grew pure red C. maxima `Turks Turban miniô and pure dark green ones (both with a white dumpling in front).
