Let's see, I have over 100 varieties of hydrangea, at least 300 varieties of roses, around 20 varieties of peonies, about 40 varieties of magnolia, dozens of different lupines, and more coming, about 10 or so species of poppy, about 50 different iris, 6 or 7 varieties of trillium, and that just barely scratches the surface. I should someday try to catalog everything, it might prove quite interesting! I have a friend with over 4000 varieties of roses alone in his garden. He's got tons of other stuff besides that, all on about 2 or 3 acres. --Ron

Thanks everyone. Funny that Jane was posting a similar question at the same time (I didn't realize when I saw the name of her thread that she was aiming to copy file names). It worked for me to do control print, then control V into a word document. A little awkward in terms of getting all the details to show - but certainly doable. Mikie - I tried the dragging and dropping. Now that was the kind of solution I wanted. It saves it in a simple list - without all this blank space from the screen shot. What an incredibly helpful tip. The first time I tried saving it I chose as text - but that was a mess. The second time I chose as a web page - is that the correct way to do it? And will it stay on my computer? This brings up a problem I've had but didn't think about asking before. I have often saved webpages - esp. from this forum and the cooking forum. But when I go back to open them up, they present a whole list of different files - like a logo from the page, etc. It's no longer complete and recreatable. Is that because I saved it in the wrong format? I had just recently deleted a couple of these when I thought there was no resurrecting the information. Glad I didn't erase more than a few. So if I want to, say, save this thread, I'd hit file, then save as, and choose web page complete? web page html? text files? or all files? Looking at the mess of files from things I saved in the past, I suspect I chose all files - but I honestly don't recall making a selection (and certainly I didn't understand the selection). This is such a useful way for me to save some information. I think you would do it in Word...when I do something like that, I have the print layout view showing (bottom left) and then I move the margins out of the way by sliding them over with my cursor....there are probably other ways to do it in Word, but this is the way I do it.

Hi, Val, just thought I'd show you the botanicals I've framed, just to give you more ideas, but it sounds like you have it almost all figured out. I have enjoyed watching your room come alive! I got all my botanicals off Ebay too & decided to do ready-made frames and had custom mats cut to make the prints fit in my frames. I used 16x20 frames with inserts of 10x13 openings. My botanicals are slightly smaller than the insert, so to fill it out, I used black mats on all of mine & I love how it makes them look more important. That touch of black all around really makes the botanicals stand out, I think. Whether this is proper placement or not, I have no idea, but it worked for my eye. I have framed several sets of these in this same way & will show you all the pics of how I've used the black mat exactly the same way. These were standard black frames from Michaels & came with the ivory mats inside with the glass & these had a black border built in on the inner ivory mat already, I just added another custom black mat to fill in the space that I needed to fill to fit my botanical. I know you can't see all the details on these pics, but hopefully this will help you some: This one is open frames from Hobby Lobby & I bought standard mats & again added the custom black inner mat so the botanicals would fit. HL does a great job with adding mats & glass & very reasonable. These gold frames came from Tuesday AM & they had the ivory mats with gold edge already in them, along with the glass. All I did was again add the black inner custom mat & it was done. I found this to be the most cost effective way to frame these odd-shaped botanicals.
