I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. I still haven't had time to look at the entire thing. I did go back and listen to the designers on page 70, they are great aren't they? I also love that this magazine is not costing me a penny. I stopped subscribing to paper magazines because I found I was wasting my money. This is perfect.

Question: what brand/model scanners do you all have? First I used my Canon all-in-one printer/scanner to try this out and the results were awful. The scanner processed the background as gray and just couldn't do this type of scanning. Then I went to my older Epson flatbed scanner, which gave better results for the flowers but has a problem with these weird streaks under the glass, which show up on scans and then I have to do a lot of manual manipulation in the photo software to get that out.

SOmeone else posted about this too last week. I looked it over and Im still thinking it over in my brain if I want to spend that price on a magazine!!! Im sure its worth it though. Thank you for the link!!!!

As I mentioned in another thread, I have voted with my wallet and subscribed. Issue 1 was a bittersweet experience for me - the content is fantastic, the presentation less so. I have to remind myself that Paul is just starting out, and that his layout and image quality is not dissimilar to the mainstream magazines of 8-10 years ago. Picking up an old copy of 'Better Homes and Gardens' in the doctors surgery yesterday drove this home, and I'm sure that the ability for a mag to emply topline graphic artists and use state-of-the-art publishing software is directly in line with ad revenue. STG will only improve, but I guess we can expect the ratio of ads to editorial content to increase - c'est la vie. Overall, Paul and his team deserve hearty congratulations for having the guts to give this a go. I hope that gardeners north of the Tweed will all get behind him, even those who persist in trying to grow temperate plants in an equatorial climate :) Cheers, Artie
