A Template, ideas, software anything ??????

I need to find something that will allow me to create my own hang tags for my crafts.

I have Avery Wizard on Word, but I can't do each "side". I can only do one side basically.

I need to be at the very least, able to type up the front, and the insides. Some How????

Do any of you have any ideas of directions I could start looking? Any ideas at all. :)

You could use the program for a business card but make it on cardstock in the color of your choice. Then to do the other side, just insert the other side in computer and design that. It might take a few trials/errors, but should be pretty easy. I have done used this method in the past. Just a suggestion......

Hi Terri,

Are you wanting a card with printing on both sides or a fold over card with printing on the outside front (and outside back?) and on the inside when it is opened?

I have Avery Design Pro and don't know if it is different from what you have or not. Item number 3264 is a small fold over card (2 x 3-1/2 folded) that is in the Avery program. It's only 4 on a page (to me that's a big waste as you can get 6 on a page landscape). It also let me create a new template with 6 on a page (2 rows of 3, unfolded size 3-1/2 wide by 4 tall).

What will work best for you will depend on the size you need and your card design. If I can help you with layout I'd be happy to.

If you are a small business and not using a bar code scanner, then I recommend quickbooks pro. It has some hair pulling glitches, but lots of flexibility. It does everything but whistle Dixie, can track inventory and keeps track of job costs and employee compensation. The more you use it, the more you can tweek it and make it give you the information you want. It's the third accounting program I hit on and after I got used to it, like it the best. It practically does my sales taxes for me and leaves a very easily followed paper trail. Ages your receivables and automatically tacks on interest and prints out professional quality invoices and bills.

Yeah, I usually copy a site I already like and use it as a template, (If I want something quick and dirty) and the last two colleges I worked at had templates avialable for downloading. I'm not sure how many pages. Something like the site I did linked below, only on a different topic. I don't do style sheet coding, that's my big problem. I really need to update my Web editing skills. I have access to Dreamweaver in one of the labs where I work, but I am now thinking I want to get something for my home PC. I have actually decided to get my own Web site, I'm going to have to look into hosting. Any good ideas on that out there? I thought I'd see if my ISP offered hosting. Thanks to everyone for your replies. We will be checking the layout on the slabs before they are cut. The fabricator is very close, and said that lots of people do that, so it shouldn't hold things up much. We had already bought the slabs when the fabricator came to give us an estimate, so we discussed then approximately where the best places for the seams would be. The slabs are on the smaller side, so it was a little more difficult to figure out where they were going to be. The granite does not have much "movement" per se, but it does have some pattern to it, and is not an evenly speckled material. We've dry-fit the sink and faucet and think we have that under control. The range is already in, so they know what they have to deal with there. Love the little bump out on the cooktop. We don't have the same issue with the range, but it's a good idea to know in case we ever do this again. Really love that granite. What is it? Redhead, also love your granite. It was on our short list of possibilities when we were looking at slabs. One of my good friends has it in her kitchen, and I always just love to look at the patterns in her countertops. The cabinet frames have been refinished and the doors are in process. After they are hung and the granite is in, I'll be asking for help with the backsplash (I know, not another one....). I used Google Sketch (free) to help me design my unfinished basement - it allows for 2D or 3D designing. It also has access to a fairly extensive user library of scaled items such as doors, windows, furniture, office equipment, houses, etc. The library probably has various storage unit designs for you to work with.

I was going to ask the same question as Jill asked. Do you want front and back, or front, back and insides too. I have a program, Corel Print House Magic, that will let you do any of these. You add what it going to all sides and inside and it will print out just right. You can choose whatever size you need. If you don't have that feature in your program(s), you can create a template for it. It would be like a quarter fold card template, but only to the size you need. It would be easy to make. It's just a rectangle made to your size and the dividing lines need to be even. Then you place your graphics and/or text in the appropriare places so that when printed and folded, all is right side up. Which means some of the graphics and/or text will be upside down on the layout.
