Comments (6)We use this range in our store. I agree with ChefKev about not opening the door to many times, however I am not sure if you will get an accurate reading leaving the temp in the bird. Also the real heat only comes from the broiler not the oven cavity itself, although heat in the cavity does contribute to cooking If we were to cook 2 x chickens side by side your looking around 35 - 40 mins. we use an instant read thermometer to test temp. Stop the chicken going around with the its back to the broiler NEVER stop it with the meat close to the broiler or you will burn the breast while you are testing the temp. Put a sheet an on the floor of the oven to make clean up easier. If you hit the link below you can see our first attempt at Chicken and beef. things we did wrong the first time 1) never tied the chicken legs. 2) stopped the chicken breast up to test temp. 3) used a pan to high to catch grease and fat. Even with those mistakes i have to say the chicken and beef turned out real good :) Here is a link that might be useful: Capital Rotisserie Slide Shows...See Morebest rotisserie chicken recipe on the CC?
Comments (1)Hi boxsta, congrats on the CC. Your problem is definitely the sugar. If you want it sweeter, omit sugar from the rub and baste it at the end with a sweet glaze instead. If you're making two chickens, I recommend putting the thigh end of both chicken in the middle (butt-to-butt). That's where the broiler is hottest. On the other hand, if you're doing a turkey, it will not survive the rotisserie even without sugar. For the turkey, you will have to do a combination of roast and broil. I've tried broiling first and then roasting. I think I prefer roasting to almost the desired temp first and then rotisserie at the end to finish and crisp. Happy cooking and even happier eating....See MoreCulinarian Rotisserie

Comments (4)I'm making a chicken on it on this coming Sunday. I use it whenever I make chicken, and now that we are empty nesters and the last non-meat-eatin' kid is out of the house, I'm sure we will use it a lot more! Since we just went to Greece & Turkey, we are dying to try our hand at making our gyros using it. mmmmm It is really easy to clean in my opinion. The best trick I learned was to put a pan of water under the meat, so that it wouldn't be spraying grease all over the place. If you are debating about getting one, you really won't regret it. Even if you don't use it "all the time", when you do, you will be amazed at how the food turns out....See Morerococogurl
