Halloween Decorations. Who says you have to wait until October to Decorate??? Girl, you have INSPIRED ME!! How long has it taken you to develop such a wonderful collection? I've always had a passion for Christmas decorations,especially the old stuff, and now have just gotten into collecting things for Halloween. I've been holding off to setting them up, but NOT NOW, after viewing your great pictures. Your home looks so warm and lovely too. Well, just had to comment and send you my compliments.

Thanks so much slinkey. I've always loved to decorate for Halloween and Christmas. But, I've got most of my decorations the past 9 years since we moved into our new house. Every year I add more. I really would like to get more of the vintage looking or prim looking decorations. Please let me see yours when you get them out.

Cheri...that's what I love too, the Vintage Halloween decorations...they seem to be coming out with so many,old looking 'new' ones, it's hard to pass them up. I also have some old ones that I collected 'thru my travels'...but NOTHING in the Amount, like what you have. I too just moved into a new home, and we have been so busy with this and that, that NOW I can finally focus on Holiday Decorations. How do you post your pictures on this web site? ..never did it before Thanks.

Slinkey, I have 2 different places I have albums with. Webshots, which they just re did there web. So things are different and I'm still learning. But uploading pics there is really easy. And the other one is photobucket. You need to save your pics on your computer. I then send them to my pictures or my documents. From there you upload them to webshots or what ever one you choose. Let me know which one you choose and I'll help you the rest of the way. You can email me.

slinkey, compared to cheri's decorations, mine are not as cute. They're sort of on the dark side. At first I thought it would be too scary for the kids but they loved it! Here are some pictures I took.

Thanks all for the nice comments. This year I was not going to throw a party (due to being unemployed) but the cries (from the adults) was overwhelming...as our house is known as the "party central". OMG. You'd think the world was coming to an end the way "our friends" reacted. So the party is on!!!

I love decorating....it's what I look forward to doing everyday. And Holiday decorating, well lets just say I tend to go OVERBOARD.

Wow Cameragirl...I can understand WHY the Adults would be disapointed if you did NOT have a Party!! It would be like
'A Year W/O A Santa Claus'...lol. I'm blown away with how you have set up your place like, 'Party Central', right down to all the coolers!! What amazing decorations you have..Overboard ..What's That? I think You, me and cheri, share the same 'blood'!! I've only just gotten into Halloween, so I'm just a novice in that department, however, for Christmas, I've got quite a collection of decorations, It all started with my mother, who did the same, and I loved it as a kid, and this 'KID' has Never grown up!! I really enjoy it all. Well, I hope all works out for you with be unemployed. Hopefully, A New Door Will Open for you, and behind it, will be All Good!! Take care.

Wow is right!!! I think Slinkey and I need to come to your party!!! What great decorations you have. I can see why your friends wanted you to have a party. I understand the unemployment thing. I quit my job a year ago to take care of my dad, grandma, and great aunt. My dad and grandma passed away in April and June. I'm needing to find a job now that pays $$$$$!!!
Can't wait to see all of your Christmas decorations. I don't do much at all for Thanksgiving. Poor Thanksgiving kinda gets pushed a side.It seems after Halloween, Christmas stuff is all you see.
I'm still working on my outside decorations. But, here is a pic of my witch and cats I just made.

I agree, with cameragirl >> Love, Love, Love, your witch with the cats. They are so unique. How big is the witch? Did you cut her from plywood and then paint her? She's so different, and I love that. I k now what you are saying about 'Poor' Thanksgiving. It seems though, with Christmas, that we are tending to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the season with All the decorations, and trying to enjoy them longer. I used to decorate the house, inside and out, by the Second week of December, but NOW, everything is in place BY Thanksgivng!! Especially my hubby w/his Christmas Village, it's so much work, and he adds to it each year, and he needs more and more time to set it up. I'm getting excited, just thinking about it! Do you post your pictures on here using a Digital Camera?
Cameragirl, do you also have a digital camera? I don't, and wonder if I would be able to post my pictures, at Christmas..using conventional shots. Duh!!! Not too experienced in that department. Well...anyway, I just love how you and Cameragirl, put your 'Souls'...lol, into your decorating!!

My witch is just a little over 6' tall. My friends daughter had made one and she brought it over so I could trace it. I traced the witch and the 3 cats on a sheet of plywood and cut it out with a jig saw. My brother just brought me his band saw over last night so I can use it on some littler projects that I'm wanting to make.
Wow, I can't wait to see what you all do for the other Holidays.
Slinkey, your dh's Christmas Village sounds really neat.
I do have a digital camera. But, I don't know much about computers but I have scanned pics before and have been able to post them. So you should be able to post your pics.

As for posting your pics. If you can load them onto your computer, then you should be able to post them. I'm curious to know, when you take your film to be developed, can they put it on a CD or DVD?

cheri..Nice size for your witch...she's got to be quite a scarey sight at night, seeing her there. Do you shine a light on her and the cats? .How great is that, to be able to cut it out of ply wood and paint it...that calls for 'Endless' ideas!! My DH has both those saws, and now you got my 'wheels' spinning..lol.. Yes, his Christmas Village is really special, and getting bigger each year!! He's already looking into making a larger display table for it.(this will be about the third time)! When we have friends and family over, it's a real hit.

Cameragirl...you and cheri gave me good thoughts on getting my pics on here...and Yes, I've seen where Walmart will put your pics on a CD..I do have a scanner, and that would be something I should 'experiment' with as well. Thanks again.

Slinkey, I have 3 spot lights on her and the cats. The witches shadow shows on the garage. That looks pretty neat. Hey, if those wheels are spinning, hopefully we'll see a pic of something very soon!!!

Cheri...I think that is so neat, with the lights and the shadow on the garage!! I'm sure she will make 'Halloween Memories' for kids in your neighborhood! There is Always some house, that had something special that you remember from when you were a kid. Your Witch will definitely be one of them. Well, right now, I'm really focusing on a party that my DH and I are giving next month, for Kids and Grownup Kids!! We are putting together some fun stuff to have and do, and I'm in a million directions. Hopefully, when we set it up, I'll take some pics. We are planning on outdoor fun..weather permitting. So keep your fingers crossed for us, that this will come off.
