Thought I'd share some pictures since it's been so long since I've been over here. I just love looking at all your beautiful tables and decorations.

You've been a busy girl. That little decorated stepstool really caught my attention! Neat idea!

I love that ghost by your cabinet that says "Boo!" Your napkin rings are adorble. . . I haven't done Fall/Halloween dishes - yet. My boys would love those! Everything is very cute!

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome, and wonderful pictures too!!! Thanks for posting the links to the mice...that will work wonderfully for our party this year (Shipwrecked on Treasure Island - pirate theme)!! We've been trying hard to find inexpensive rats for the hold of our ship (our basement), but they all seem to be expensive for large ones. But chocolate mice for the dessert table (which is always downstairs) is a must! :-) I'll start posting this year's scenes tomorrow then, and just post to the same (new) thread as I go. I'll be decorating right up until just before our party on the 25th, so lots going on. :-) I hope you all will post your photos as you go too...I'm always looking for more ideas. We do Halloween like some people do Christmas... Here are some from last year - nothing gory here. Last year's theme was "The Academy of the Undead Zombie Awards Night". We all dressed up as "undead" movie stars, TV stars, or characters (James Dean & Marilyn Monroe were both in attendance - hubby and I were Walt & June Cleaver, and we even had Snow White and Prince Charming there). We generally are very "loose" with interpretations so everyone can find a costume easily. I hung metallic curtains in every doorway to make it kind of "awards like", and people took pictures in front of the cemetery arch (ironically, we never did get one of ourselves)... Our skeleton, dressed in an evening cape in the pool room: The TV room downstairs - it was a blacklight display, so we had all the regular bulbs replaced with blacklights, so the skeletons on the wall and all the webbing glowed: Our impromtu "bar" downstairs. I need a better way to organize this for this year - it was kind of a jumble last year: And our big Cemetery Arch...worked great for pictures last year. I need to customize it as an entrance to our "Treasure Island" this year: Tomorrow I'll start a new thread for this year's scenes... :-) Oh, and this stuff *was* sort of organized in our storage room until I started getting my village pieces out last weekend, and DH started digging for heads (we're creating a "hall of heads" this year). Now it's all a jumbled mess again - funny how quick that happens!

Thank you Candy :). Karen: TY. Mickey is doing very well considering. It's been 3 weeks today and he's getting a bit grumpy but still holding steady. I didn't give him one of the Kong toys as I know he'd make the biggest mess you can imagine. lol Instead I bought him one of those roll around toys you put treats in and they have to work to get them out. He really likes it and doesn't really overwork himself to get them out like I figured he would. He plays with it for a bit, then gets tired and goes to sleep. He's gotton down a good routine now (out of crate, get leash on , get big drinks, go outside to business, come back in , shop toy box - pick toy of choice, and back to crate, yell for cookie - take nap). He does better if we're not in the room with him so I've resorted to living in other parts of the house. It tears me up that he's in the living room alone, but I tried that and he got sooo worked up wanting out that no more of that. :( He goes back on the 14th for the last shots and we do this all over again for at least 4 more weeks and then hopefully!! he's healthy and free from jail on Nov 12th. Wow! CUTE! The only thing missing is one of my prim jute twine spider webs.....LOL! I sold a bunch on Ebay before I left for a 2 week vacation, and came back to find messages waiting for me from others wanting some......didn't plan to relist them, but decided I'd better.......I planned to go up in the woods this week and pick pine, but now it is hunting season, so I have to wait until Sunday. I use the pine to make pine ropes(swags or garlands) as well as pine wreaths. These are real ground pine and smell sooooooooo good and last a loooong time! Most of the winter if it isn't too hot!

I think that sign for the artificial eyeballs is just a hoot! It is so perfect in your vignette with the eyeballs and other body parts and fluids--good job! I'm going to head over to see your blog too, and thanks so much for the links to the free printables. Like Karen, I usually don't comment on blogs. Either I can't figure out how to post on the blogs or hate being "anonymous", but I get so much enjoyment from seeing all the creative things others do. ;o) Luvs

Hi Punk, I have to ask--is the picture between your two hutches by Barbara Mock? I love her birdhouse pictures and have one in my kitchen eating area also.

Love that big ghost and the metal haunted house. I keep meaning to cut out a wooden one to paint, but haven't done it yet. Cute napkin rings too. You've been busy!

Wow! What a fun place your house must be this time of year! Great decorations! Being a dish lover, my fav are your Halloween dishes, especially the white pumpkin bowls!

Thanks for all your sweet comments. I took a few close up pictures so hope this will help with the napkin rings. I also took a close up of my witch tea pot in case no one could tell what it was.

Most of my dishes were my DM and she was like all of you at setting a beautiful table and hosting most of the parties around. I don't have that talent but sure love to look at all of yours. Thanks again to all of you for posting and keeping this forum going. I just love to be able to kick back and enjoy all your great posts.

OA, let me know if you can click on the picture and see them larger. Luvs, the picture is Home Interior. Years ago thats about all I had hanging in my home and I still have several up.

Hi, I have the same witch's slipper candle holders, only mine are black. I see your table is pretty much a witch theme & mine will be too this year, since my gkids gave me a huge witch hat to build around.

I love those napkins & the rings, I need to look for some, don't have anything to go with Halloween.

I love your witch teapot, I have a witch pitcher, you'll see it in my pics when I get them posted.

Just worked my fingers to the bone doing my table tonite. The gkids asked for it, they are so used to the table having a tablescape now, that they said they were getting tired of an EMPTY TABLE!!!

Oh, wow, Phonegirl, your halloween decs are very fun. I love the metal haunted house thing and the ghost in the second pic. And I some beautiful white pumpkin bowls on the table. The witch teapot is also super cute.

DD, Thanks and I have a set of dishes, ROYAL DOULTON OLD TRENTHAM SPRAYS, I'd like to show you sometime. Maybe some of you could help me with a tablescape with them.

NCnana, I had a SS sideby side and it just up and died after 2 years so I went out and bought the Whirlpool french door with satina finish and like it so far.

Yatcher, I can hardly wait to see our matching slipper candle holders and your with table setting. I will try to pay more attention and start trying some tablescapes in the future.LOL I don't have all the fancy things but I do have some neat things.

Mo and Lynn thanks, the ghost is one I bought for DGD and she has wanted me to keep it at my house and it is pretty all lite up. White pumpkin bowls are something most of you probably have, right?

Jane, you must like teapots, I have a DS who collects tea pots. I enjoyed seeing yours and the beautiful new red dishes you displayed on your post.

The boo ghost is so cute! I'd like to have one that would welcome my visitors, hahaha. And you did a really nice job decoration your home. It seems so funny... you surely have big laughs when you look at your guests - the witch, those pumpkins, the boo ghost, etc.

And like DD, I also been appealed by your pumkin bowls!
