Karen, I love both those ideas! The Halloween totem is sort of like our stacked plates in a way isn't it? Whoever made that sure did a nice job on it.

I'm always seeing those witch's hats, even Dollar Tree had some nice ones last year. Just never had any good ideas on what to use them for other than as part of a costume--this is a really cute idea.

DD, last year I tried my hand at making some floral stuff and it was a lot easier than I thought. I think it would be pretty hard to 'mess up' something like this. I'm going to try one myself and hope that's true. LOL. Since you can get the hat and florals at Dollar stores, the price is sure right to play with. You could stuff the hat with those plastic grocery bags and probably put it on a table for centerpiece even. I think I might that do too, and will hang one on front porch like this.

This outdoor pumpkin decoration cracked me up....I see all sorts of possiblities with this idea. Cowboy boots and hat, tennis shoes and ballcap, etc. LOL.
As you can see, it doesn't take much to amuse me!

Karen the coalmining jack'o lantern made me laugh. He is sooo cute! And I love that witch's hat. So perfect. The fall colors that you used are beautiful. The white,light yellow,and burgundy made it come alive. I don't normally like fall colors because they all look dead or dying to me and I'm sad because I'm definately a spring and early summer person. But your hat is exquisite.

Betty, I didn't make any of these things. I do plan to try making the witch hat floral tho. I'm learning to like Fall colors, since I've never been a fan of orange, its been hard for me to 'adjust'. LOL. I prefer winter colors, the deep jewel tones. But I love decorating for Fall now, thanks to this Forum. Last year I really enjoyed being surrounded by fall colors and am looking forward to doing so again. But I'm always thrilled when our endless summer is coming to an end. Enough of the 100s already!!!

Oh..I want to jump in too. Love those ideas..both are so different and seem easy and fun to do. The stacked totem is a great idea to use with Anything and for Any occassion...love it. Hmmmm now I've got to find my ole witches hat...the jack o lantern w/the the coal miner's boots was too cute!! That would be great to do w/the witches hat... and just use a pair of old leather boots and, just add a little broom !!
I'm excited with the thought of Fall coming and there's been a 'chill' in the air at night..!! I've been working on some Vine Wreaths that I made w/vines I've been finding around my house...Also, my Gson and I made some Paper Mache Jack O Lanterns...so...We are getting ready!!

Betty, have you tried the white pumpkin decorations? I did some last year and love them. I added some silver glitter to the pumpkins I bought at Michaels. There's a lot of pretty green and gold Thanksgiving decor too. You don't have to decorate with the regular Fall colors. This photo is pretty, I think. I put it in our Inspiration Album last year. Think it was on the BHG site.

Wasn't it Tam who used allot of the white pumpkins last year? Sure hope she will stop by and post her Fall decor pics for us again this year. She has a blog now, so we might have to head over there to take a peek at her pretty decor items.

And lucky us, we have some new posters with us now, so they will have new things for us to enjoy seeing! Yeah!

Karen, you really did allot of Fall decorating last year and it turned out so pretty.

I was thinking that anything I post will be boring for the gals who were on here last year. I haven't thought of a single new idea yet--guess I'm trying to drag my feet a bit and hang onto summmer awhile longer. For those who had a late Spring this year, I'll bet you really want Summer to stick around for awhile.
