have $ Store Envy!! I'm looking for plates just like the two you bought in the Gold and Rust. They are great to mix and match with especially for Fall. Once again, your lovely table setting & food..look SPLENDID!!

Love those pretty plates. Really like the green look in the middle of them too. Perfect napkins for them, and your purple placemats set them off just perfectly.

The other plates are just perfect fall colors. Will look forward to seeing how you use them.

And your chicken looks so yummy as does the produce. Nice big eggplant and vine ripened tomatoes--nothing beats fresh.

I love all your new plates. The olive ones are great and terrific match with the napkins. I wish our Dollar Store had those fall coloured plates, they look so versatile. Your blue & yellow tablescape looks very summery and the food delicious as always. I can SO RELATE to the frustration of your flowers being deer food! Good looking produce too.

Kathleen, does your DH notice when you have new plates at dinner? I don't leave things in the car but do keep things in a closet and bring them out gradually...

I commented on your post on HTE. Those Olive plates are great, I love the purple combination. I was laughing at your 'sneakin in' comment. Isn't that the truth, for me the problem is that I'm out of space at this point to effectively 'hide' items until I can make them 'appear' and state "I had those forever" hehe. I either have to get rid of things to make room for more or renovate the Kitchen and create more cabinet space. I prefer the renovating idea. LOL

Oh Kathleen, I'm so envious of those napkins!~ I saw those olive plates at Dollar Tree too. Now makes me think I should have gotten those plates also. I didn't see any like your rust and gold plates. I like them better than the ones I got. Your setting looks lovely. And the meal you have dished up. YUMMY!!

Sno, the olive plates are from TJMAxx, and my friend paid 6.00 a piece for them, so it was a lucky day for me!

I guess every Dollar Tree has different things...and to think I had never been in one till I started on this forum a few years ago!!

Welcome Denise! I remember how happy I was to discover this forum and would "lurk" here often before coming onboard which has been even better. Hope you will share with us any pics/ideas/comments you have throughout the upcoming holidays,etc. And it is TOTALLY okay to admit you are looking forward to having an empty nest - that just happened for us a few weeks ago and we are enjoying it. I will..maybe tomorrow..I went to Pfaltzgraf and 2 Dollar Trees today.
Alarm went off in Pfaltzgraff and we had to evacuate, the whole section of the shopping center.
What to do?
Go to the other section, shop for a bit, and then go back after the fire engines left.

You can't deter me with a little fire, LOL..

Luvs, I had 2 bowls I wanted that were a great price..oven to table, so I went back for them..
The clearance center is 45 min from me, so I don't get there all the time....
I posted the bowls and the dishes I bought too, finally snuck them in!!

Kathleen, I saw your new TJ Maxx dishes, oooh, just love the chintz! And the fruit one matches a dishcloth/kitchen towels that I've seen on sale at Kohl's.

After a very busy week at school I picked up two garlands from WalMart for $3 each. I didn't think just one would be long enough. I still have my summer tablecloth on because I didn't see a vinyl flannel backed cloth I liked yet in autumn colors.

What a VIEW from your porch!! I could spend "Forever" there and be totally content. Love all the birdhouses draped in your Fall garland. You just can't go wrong decorating with bird stuff is my thought.
