Spa day brunch

I remembered how much fun I had having a Spa Day with my SIL and nieces while on our trip. So I thought I might invite my neighbor/friend for one.

Thought we'd have fruit salad and croissants along with cranberry juice--because it's pink-- and tea before we headed off to the spa.

Here's the table I've put together for us. I just used things I had around the house that I thought might fit with my Spa theme. These plates were a recent find and I only bought enough for two. On the back, they say Vitromaster, Indonesia, Bali 1990. You know me, I just liked the pretty pastel colors! ;o)

Luvs, how pretty and perfect for a "Spa Day"! Your pink & white tablescape looks so soothing. Those plates are lovely. Is that a little bathtub holding the toiletries? How cute! I think my fav thing on the table is the adorable little bunny! Your menu sounds yummy too! Now, I want to go to the Spa but only after a brunch at this table!

Thanks everbody. This table was a mix of heirloom silverware and tablecloth, Rose and white plates from Ross, and the Moss Rose pattern side plates and teacups and saucers are all TS. The clear goblets are DT, the pink goblets are Gar. Sale, and the pink napkins are TS. The silver coffee pot, small silver candlesticks, and silver napkin rings are items I have had for a very long time. The silver tea set is actually ceramic and was Ross last year. The large silver candlesticks, floral CP, and silver butter dish are TS as is the feather wreath. The 2 fairies were Ross. So, it's a mix of TS, heirloom, Ross, and old stuff, LOL. We have had rain for 2 days, yeah!! The mountains have had record snow this year, but the city has been unbelievably dry! Parts of our golf course are nothing but dirt, because there has been so little snow or rain! Now it just needs to stop for my tee time on Sat., LOL. TTFN, Candy

Shaun, There's a place here in town that offers Sunday & holiday brunch. The buffet usually includes omelet station, home fries, bacon, sausage, carving station (ham & roast beef), lots of fresh fruits, pastries, 3-4 types of breads, shrimp/cocktail sauce, oysters, waffle station, real maple syrup, some type of fresh fish entree, the always present mac 'n cheese for the kids (or kids at heart!), cheeses/crackers, half a dozen different salads plus green salad, a couple green veggie choices, & scalloped potatoes. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things. Oh yeah, there's also some type of Italian-inspired dish. Then, they have a separate dessert buffet table with 15-20 different choices. The buffet comes with juice, coffee/tea, & water. Sodas and alcoholic beverages are extra. The buffet has been $42.50 per person. But, they've been closed for remodeling since last December (after Christmas) so I don't know what the new prices will be...they're scheduled to re-open Memorial Day weekend. I'm guessing it'll be close to $50/person. A 15% gratuity is added for parties of four or under. More than that & it's 20%. A child's buffet is $24.50 per child with under eight eating free. I'm sorry your Mother's Day brunch wasn't great. Since I'm a grazer...I love a good buffet. /tricia

Luvs, How lovely!! So Girly-Girl! I love it! I couldn't have bought just 2 of everything. I would have brought the whole set home. What a great idea. I have never been to a spa, but would love to go at least once.

To be able to start the day at that calming, beautiful table would be heaven.

BTW, the pink bowl in the centerpiece just doesn't look quite right. Sooo... just send it on to me and I will take care of it for you. In other words....It's my favorite part!!

Glad you liked my idea for a "spa" table.

Betty, the pink bowl is a little ceramic bathtub full of little toilitries. None of my pictures show the little legs on it very well do they? DD, you have keen observation skills!

I think the pitcher would have shown up better with the juice in it. My pictures are never that great, but I keep trying.

Would you believe I tried two floral centerpieces and a fishbowl with a candle and glass marbles before I remembered that I had this little bathtub that might work? Takes allot of trial and error sometimes to figure out just the right look, doesn't it? But I guess that is part of the fun of it too. ;o)

What a sweet neighbor you are to treat your friend to such a nice lunch! I wish you were my neighbor :) The table is perfect, very relaxing and feminine. I love those plates too, but agree that it would have been hard for me too to only buy 2!

I don't know what was wrong with my eyes the day I first saw your table! I didn't see your sweet little bird and only saw the bunny's butt and thought it was a ceramic rose!! DD and I were posting at the same time, so I missed her eyes! LOL!!!!!!!

Betty, you have me chuckling out loud! I know EXACTLY what you mean--lots of times I will look at a pic on here and THINK I know what I saw, then when I read eyeryone's comments, I have to rush back and check it out again to see what I missed! LOL

Oh, that pink bathtub centerpiece is absolutely perfect for your setting! The bunny is super cute too with all your pink dishes and roses. Lovely!

It took me three attempts before I located the pink bird, LOL! But the birdie is so cute it was worth it!
