I have been very pleased with my Thermador electric. The 4 burners give you six sizes, (one of the large ones is larger than most other ranges offer), conv oven, and have had no problems.

I have 3 year old Dacor range that has been trouble free.

I am also trying to decide which slide-in to purchase. I have actually purchased the Kenmore Elite # 46713, but have postponed delivery twice because I am still not sure. I am also looking at the Bosch # HEI72X2. They both look nice, however, they both have features the other one does not. The Kenmore has a bridge element and even comes with a griddle. It also has a warming burner, and does not have knobs to take off and clean. All the elements are a higher wattage than the Bosch and has good reviews on their website. The Bosch has a bigger oven which I think is a big plus. It has a full extension rack and actually has sides which most slide-ins do not. I believe Bosch is better quality. I wish someone would make up my mind for me.

I wish I could help you both. I was in the same situation many months ago and did alot of research. I wanted an electric slide-in that has clean lines to it and receives good reviews. From all the appliance stores (local, mom/pop/internet), I was told the Bosch was the way to go hands down in terms of quality and not many problems. We're average people with an average kitchen, so higher end was not necessary for us. I narrowed my choices by what we wanted in a range (knobs, convection, warming drawer). Everyone told me to stay away from the Jenn-Aire due to so many problems and they are not known to be quality like they once were. I didn't like the front lip on the KA by the controls (why is that there anyway?), and the Kenmore just has a busy look to me. Oh yeah, I also only wanted one door pull and most others have two which IMO, looks ugly.

Unfortunately, our Bosch is not yet installed but should be within the next 2 weeks, so therefore, I can't tell you how I like it. I do love the look though, but functionality is also important. Plus, CR rated it nicely I believe.

I can only hope it lives up to its name.

Hey I glad it is not just me! I had just read some things here about Bosch and warranty issues. We live in a rural area and wondered about where the service would have to come from. We found out yesterday that the actual service people for Bosch are actually closer than some of the others. I think my DH thinks I am way too anxious about this decision. Anyone have a Bosch that would care to share their experience?

I have that Bosch...its only a couple weeks old, but I really like it. The only thing that bothers me is that the fan is loud, but I think all slide in convections do have a loud fan. I've used the convection bake a few times and everything came out great, the stove top is great too. I had a maytag gemeni prior to.

I have to make a decision soon they need to know model before they template... Think maybe I am back to leaning toward Bosch because I really like their look, and I think I could handle the loud fan.

Don't know if this will help...but Bosch and Thermador are one and the same (consolidated). I own a Thermador 36" Induction cooktop and absolutely love it. They have great customer service as well. If you think you might go induction, make sure you have the right electric service for it.

Quiet (even the convection fan), precise controls, no buttons, dials, or knobs to catch gunk. If buying today, I'd get it again. If you don't like smooth-tops, forget it. If you do, this is the one. About $1,500.00.

I have finally decided! I cancelled the Kenmore and purchased the Bosch electric slide-in. I am so happy I did. It was delivered this morning. The Bosch is simply beautiful and much better quality than the Kenmore. It actually has full sides!! Now it will sit in my living room until my kitchen is finished. I can't wait to use it.

Wow that makes two of us! I was still asking my DH the morning the templater was coming, he wouldn't say, so I went with the Bosch. It just seemed the right.

I also placed an order for all stainless Bosch last week.
I was told Bosch is going to issue recall for fan issues this summer - which would be just terrific.

Any updates (likes/dislikes) on the Bosch slide-in range?? I am considering the HEI7282 for my kitchen remodel. Was wondering if you could tell me who makes the smoothtop. If you look on your smoothtop somewhere you will find the manufacturer (i.e. Schott(ceran) or "k"). Any info is greatly appreciated! I also am looking at the Jenn-Air slide-in but I'm not seeing much positive feedback (I am thinking Jenn-Air for my CD FD fridge tho-I really like their Pro style and the feedback seems okay..).

Hoping those that bought the Bosch back in May 07 will respond! Looking at that same Bosch HEI7282. Love to hear feedback.

I have a 7 year old KA electric slide-in. There is nothing special about the cooktop but I have to tell you - I love my oven. It is quiet and cooks everything perfectly in the correct amount of time. The convection oven makes perfect chocolate chip cookies.

We had a Jenn Air once and said never again! Every part seemed to be a special order and expensive. We had trouble with everything from the burners to the blower.

We would have purchased the Bosch when we did over our kitchen, but the pricing and rebate offers were much better on the KA, so we bought all KA appliances. The Bosch did seem a better product at the time, but the KA slide in has been no problem, and is working out just fine, so far....

Our Bosch Integra HEI7282 has been installed since last May and we like it alot. Cooks great both inside and on top. It's a clean, sleek look and easy to use (and clean). There is a fan that stays on while the oven is on, but it's not a bother at all - not loud, IMO. The oven does take quite a long time to cool down, but that's not a bother either.

Overall, I'd buy this range again.

Looking at the Integra 7152 and trying to figure out if it is worth the extra money. Those of you that have it- what do you like best about it, and more importantly, what do you wish that you could have that this range doesn't have.

I am looking for a new slide in ceramic top kitchen stove.
I've looked at them all; Bosch Integra, Kitchen Aid Architectural, and Kenmore Elite. Kenmore is loaded with features, has this great glass topped control panel, nice to keep clean and you don't have to bend over. I cook mostly for two people, don't need the fifth element, but like the porcelain coated oven racks.

I do a lot of broiling so a good broil is very important to me, and Kenmore broil looks poorly built in comparison to the Bosch. Also the Kenmore construction doesn't compare to the Bosh or the Kitchen Aid (sharp corners, thin guage metal, warmer drawer is crappy in comparison to either Kitchen Aid or Bosh.

Kenmore has big sale on and will save me $500. and no knobs. Kenmore does not have a meat probe.

With the knobs up front (kitchen aid and Bosh), I don't have to bend over for the element controls, but will have to bend over for the overn controls.

I love the finger touch glass covered element controls on kithcne aid, but kitchen aid has no large element.

Bosh has a great expandalbe top element, a wonderful broil, and a fabulous warming drawer, and an accessible meat probe plug in.

So I want a Bosh stove top,broiler and warming drawer, with Kitchen Aid element controls and Kenmore oven racks.

So please help me with the trade off I have to make, and / or do I spend an extra $500 for quality or am I spending it simply so that I can turn my knobs on German Engineering?

Porcelain Coated oven racks retaining the telescoping feaure

touch pad controls positioned so that you don't have to bend over

I'll probably spend the extra money for this range, knobs are so well engineered that i will live with them, and live with the oven racks just go get my hands on this great grill (lots of passes and high wattage).

Not sure I like the flange around the ceramic top, but fits flat into the table top, so will live with it me thinks

love that warming drawer, so well built

What about GE Monogram double oven? I was thinking Jenn-Air or Viking 30' double oven, but now I am thinking about purchasing a GE Monogram oven or a Viking. Does any one have any feedback on these two ovens?
