I'm a matchy-matchy person, so I also struggled with this. In one bathroom, the finish matches across lighting, knobs, faucets and hinges. In the master, we wanted a more rustic look for the light fixture and I found that the fact that it coordinates with the color of the room, the counter top and flooring makes it work. My advice is not to limit yourself with matchy-matchy, but be sure to get something that you really like. Good luck!

I have gold in my master bathroom but the rest of my house is all brushed nickle. I am not sure what the rule is. In my previous home everything was brushed nickle but in this newer home I have a coffee table in my family room that is white marble and brass. But the rest of the hardware is brushed nickle. I would love to find the secret to mixing metals... The rule of no mixing has changed, but I am not sure how to make it work. People are mixing all the time. What a great lighting fixture, I can see why you have you're heart set on it. While I've not seen the piece in person I do think that the two elements would look cohesive in the same space. A way to meld to the finishes together if they do look a little too different in the space is to buy other bath accessories in the brush bronze finish such as a towel ring and toilet paper holder. Making the lower fixtures the same finish will detract from the lighting fixture if it is too different. Good luck with your bathroom project!

I like this for your kitchen. Has cage style but bulb is not exposed which can be bothersome in a kitchen. Can’t beat price. I would need to have measurements of ceiling height? How high is island countertop? Are pendants for island? Photo would really help. I like black in entry and dining room but kitchen you can go brushed or chrome.
