Kathleen I know this has been said many - many times before...but you truly are the 'Bargain Queen' !! You always seem to find just the right 'Everything' for amazing prices..to put together such beautiful tables. This is one of them.

Those dishes are such a darling pattern. Very pretty with the pink accents. I like how you layered the CTS placemats. (aren't they such a buy @ $1 each) and look so great. That toile pitcher is very pretty...You've got some nice friends!!

I laughed at your 'Doug' story. Several years ago, we saw Stephen Saint-Onge in Home Depot. At the time he was doing the show 'While You Were OUt'...I told him I thought he was the 'Best' designer on the show. He was very gracious. (no autograph either)... He contributes to Better Homes & Gardens now as a designer.

I'm all for 'White Summer'..gosh I've got pleanty of it!

I'm crazy about those dishes. Really very different. I don't think I could pull it all together like you did. Very nicely done! Are the leaf bowls from Sur La Table? I saw some on sale at SLT, but they were expensive and not marked down enough yet.

I have little time to check in here, but try to at least once a week. I should be in bed right now, big BIG subdivision sales tomorrow. 50+ homes in one fab subdivision.

I haven't bought too much for tablesettings, like I've said before, I have no more room, but I did find a set of really pretty, different WHITE dishes a few weeks ago, so if I can find time, I'll do a white table too!

I bought one of those small round tables so I can do mini tablescapes, since I just don't have the time for a big one lately, but still need to find a 90 inch round cloth for it!!! Maybe tomorrow!!!

Leaving for Florida in a week, so hopefully I can get to it when I get back.

Miss all of you, but things have not slowed down around here, they just get busier all the time!

Okay, Kathleen, I am telling DH that you made me do it!!

I don't have a lot of just white dishes. I do have four dinner plates, but I mix and match them with other things. I have a white soup tureen and I bought some small covered bowls to use with it that I recently found at GW. But, I have been intrigued by the white on white idea. So, I just had to have dishes for it.

Bad, bad printersdevil! Well, not, bad price wise, but I really didn't need these, but did want them. I found a service for 4 today at the Salvation Army TS in a white (Gibson). I actually was headed to Big Lots to check out buying a new set of Gibson there. I have heard so many talk about finding these there. Anyway, these are rather unique. I don't like coffee cups, but these are oversize and have a nice look. I got the service for 4 for .... Drum roll please...$8 and also a brand new big gigantic white candle for $1. So, I came home and passed DHs friends house to find his truck there. I rushed home and unloaded the dishes into a nice hiding place.

Now, I guess that I should also admit to having stopped at GW and picking up a service for 4 of solid blue dishes in a bright blue that is almost cobalt color for $5. I really only wanted a few plates or salad plates or bowls to mix and match with some red that I hope to find for July 4. So, bad, bad printer bought two sets today!!!! But, hey, I only spent $13 on the dishes.

I am a dishaholic and it has been two hours since I bought any dishes.....

My GW is far and I don't get there too often and when I do, not too many great finds. I used to shop SA when I lived in NY and that was a 'mecca' for great finds of all kinds. I miss that place.
I was chuckling at you seeing DH's truck at his friends and you dashing home to hide your stash. LOL... I guess you can say..You're A Full Fledged Member.

I just realized that I have a new white tablecloth that I bought on a clearance after Christmas. I remember thinking that I might need it sometime and it was a great price. Now, I have one to use for this. I have to come up with some ideas for a centerpiece and other table goodies. I am trying to work on my presentation of things. I just am not very creative in this way. I always marvel at all the gorgeous things that I see here and on Tablescapes Thursdays. I just sort of do the same thing over and over with different dishes. Oh well, it beats eating in front of the television on trays.

As for a White Summer table, I'd love to try one. I don't know about the white food, though. My family might object to my going that far. I think I should probably stick to just the table settings for this one!

Kathleen, your tablescape is very pretty, as usual! Those plates are lovely and what a great name for them, "Purple Sensation"! That pitcher is terrific too. I envy how you so often have fresh flowers from your garden to go with your tablescapes. Great story about Doug Wilson, he was one of my fav designers on Trading Spaces.

The "White Tablesetting Event" sounds like a wonderful idea though I too will have to blame you, Kathleen for more dish purchases as I don't have much in the way of white dishes but I have been thinking I NEED some anyway....

PD, you are a woman after my own heart. How many times have I pulled into the driveway and been "pleased" to see that DH had not yet returned home--then I'd quickly park and run inside with my loot! I always end up showing them to him later--but sometimes with the "Oh, I've had those for quite awhile" statement. Do you use that one too? LOL
He doesn't really care, but I like to avoid "the look" and hearing how I really don't need more "junk".

I only have four white plates and white salad plates. If I get home in time, I'll try to put something together too.

Kathleen, love the allium dishes. Alliums are my fav flower so far! And your table is so lovely.
White on white is an interesting theme. I am not sure I have the expertise or dishes to put together a white on white table. Maybe its time to go shopping! If I can come up with something, I will do a tablesetting, otherwise, I will enjoy what you guys put together! :)

PD, nice bargains!! If I could buy two whole sets for less than 15$, I would def do it too.
