my beautiful decorative sign

I am so thrilled, and LUVS this sign for my house! I nearly cried when I opened the box and saw it.

It came from my special, dear friend, Kay aka Luvstocraft.

Recently, another special lady I know on Garden Junk (nanagrandma Sylvia) mentioned that "purplemoon" translated into Luna Morado. I loved that and thought it was beautiful. I was wishing I could paint a house sign with it. But I can't even draw stick figures, nor paint decently. Luckily I have a friend who CAN. She does amazing work I think. She designed and painted this sign for my House of Purple Moon. The flowers blooming in the night, are Moonflowers!

I can't thank KayLuvs enough for such a special gift. It means so much to me.

How very beautiful and special! I can see why you would be near tears, Karen on opening such a touching gift. That Luvs is a very thoughtful & talented person. The colours and script are lovely. Have you got the perfect place to put it, Karen?

DD, I'm torn between putting right outside the front door on the porch OR in the entry way inside the front door.
Meanwhile I just keep staring at it, LOL.

I received my box from Ann last night. Ann, Thanks so much! Ann sent 5 magazines (2 craft) (2 seed) (1 Taste of Home), plus seeds- "Cigar plant" "Columbine/purple/white" "Money plant" "Shasta Daisy" "Hibiscus-dinner sized plate" and 2 Calligraphy gift bags, frog decoration for outdoors, body lotion (Winterberry), BIG BAG OF PEANUT M&M's (my favorite), Tulips/red/coral, beautiful Angel windchime, terra cotta heart candle, Magic message plant! I received my box today from indyjoy. What a wonderful surprise. This is what she sent me 8 large cup narcissi bulbs, 4 candles, 3 of them are little pumpkins and the other is an orange candle, but she also sent something that is the cutest thing. It is a stuffed bear from the Bearington collection and she is all dressed up for halloween , holding a pumpkin. She has a green velvet hat on and her dress is green velvet with the skirt made in autum colors of oranges and greens. I already have a place for her in my doll room. I took my two sons bedrooms for my porcelain dolls I make when they left the nest. I have around 75 I have made. So she will be darling in there. She is just as cute as can be, I like every thing you sent Joy, and simpley love the bear. Thank you, Thank you. Ann

This may be too direct for some, but I stole from a number of signs to create the following for our new mountain home that will have lots of guests visiting even when we can't be there...; Dear Guest, Here in the Country we have A delicate loo-Anything but toilet paper is taboo. Kleenex is bad. dental floss too. Hair & feminine products will definitely cause a scare. And Since We DonÃ¢ÂÂt want to pay the plumber - asking you to pump the septic would be a bummer. So to ensure that you are welcomed back, thanks for Keeping our little Pact. LetÃ¢ÂÂs not put Anything in the pot that isnÃ¢ÂÂt guaranteed to rot. I have a septic field... its just not environmentally friendly nor do I want to have to deal with the potential issues of having someone misunderstand... I think that if I put this much effort into a sign, people will understand that it is important to me... plus some of our friends have teenage girls, so I feel the need to be specific and remind them every time they are in a position where they could perhaps simply forget the need to break a habit. I'm so happy for you and Luvs is a love alright. I know she was just thrilled to surprise you with this beautiful sign she painted for you. I'm surprised she didn't bring it to you personally as much fun as you two had together last year. LOL Punk

Oh..what a beautiful sign to receive, from 'One Beautiful Person To Another' !! I agree w/Punk..all that was missing was her at the door 'Hand Delivering It' !!

How wonderful a long-distance friendship you have! Of course, we all love you and Luvs in our extended family here.

It's a beautiful design and I'm sure Luvs was as happy to send it as you are to receive it. Now you have a name for your house, like all those old English manor houses. I'm with OA, put it where it will welcome all at the front door.

How Wonderful! When I first found this forum You and Luvs were here to always encourage all of us newbies to create and enjoy. Both of you are true friends to all of us.

How perfect that you have actually gotten to take your friendship to deeper levels. And you just can't top that Luvs! Isn't she the greatest?

It is such a beautiful piece. I would be scared to put it outside. But, I'm sure you will enjoy it anywhere.

So many nice comments on Karen's little sign, thanks everyone. I was just so glad that Karen liked it. I put four coats of sealer on it, so it should hold up fine outside for quite some time. Maybe just spray another coat or two of sealer on once a year or so to keep it nice.

Karen has a lovely home and she really has a knack for creating nice displays. She keeps trying to convince me that she is not creative, but I'm not buying it! I am just amazed at how many cute things she makes for her home and yard in spite of the constant pain she endures.

I would have loved to hand deliver the sign, but Phoenix is a pretty good drive from Rancho Cucamonga! If things work out, maybe I'll get over her way again next January.

I truly think all of us could easily be friends in real life if we were to meet. And we know we'd have lots of things in common to talk about, right? LOL
