Roundup spilled in car

I was cleaning out my dad's house before his move, and all the "leftovers" got piled in my van. The almost full gallon bottle of "ready to use" Roundup tipped over during the drive home and all of it leaked out onto the carpet in the back of my van. I've tried kitty litter, shampooing the carpet, have pulled out all the padding under the carpet (it was saturated), and have dumped several buckets of water onto the carpet and sucked it out with a shop vac. It STILL smells like Roundup. Does anyone have any ideas other than replacing the carpet? The van is a 1993, and I don't want to put much money into it.
