The napkin rings are wonderful. I looked for some to use this weekend, but never got to Kohl's. I found some at Pier 1 that I bought. I think I will head to Kohl's to see if they have the margarita glasses.

We had Tequila Sunrise drinks yesterday because all of my Margarita glasses have either bright blue, green or green cactus stems. They wouldn't work with my pastel dishes I used. So, I winged it and used the peach (a little off color) glasses and made Tequilla Sunrises.

Thanks! BTW, Kohls has been having some major sales lately. I bought those placemats there last week at 50% off. Yesterday I got the napkin rings for 50% off, the yellow bowl that's holding my guacamole for 40% off and two more sets of napkins for 50% off. I'm finding that Kohls has the best selection of tableware in town
. . . and I think that I need to stay OUT of Kohls for a while ;^P !!!!

Wow! Wowie! How do I love it? Let me count the ways.
1. This dishes are wonderful. Seems to me you could do a Mexican/Spanish theme, Western theme or even a Polynesian theme (especially with the few tucans sitting around) and they'd fit right in.
2. The centerpiece is wonderful. I love the planter? that the flowers are in. Very nice.
3. I saw those little horse pinatas on line and tried to order them, but they didn't arrive in time. They'll probably show up in time for Memorial Day.
4. You painted the glasses!!! Holy smokes. A tinge of jealously here.
5. The placemats are perfect - not just the color, but the texture too.
6. Key Lime Pie! My husband and I had fruit for dessert. Good thing he doesn't read these postings.

Lynn, you did a fabulous job despite being pulled in forty-eleven directions.

I knew you would have a Cinco de Mayo table, Lynn. It's wonderful I love your sunflowers. I've said several times that I think your table is wonderful. Those napkin rings are so cute, for the occasion. Last but certainly not least, the glasses are just great. I would never have thought to paint the flower on the bottom instead on the side. - Gail

Thanks OA! Really, the only things I specifically shopped for were the napkin rings and that fiesta garland on the chandelier (from HL yesterday). The rest are just things I already had. The little pinata is from a party about six years ago. I refuse to get a bigger one that I have to find storage room for. I bought the table runner last year online and love it. I'll use the new placemats pretty much any time I use this dish set. Kohls had several great patterns that would work well with my dishes, but these were my favs . . because of the texture (we think alike!). The chile cocktail napkins came from Party City last year. They even work at Christmas out here ;^P
And, yes, I made the centerpiece out of a Talavara planter. I couldn't find anything big enough in the stores and was forced to think out of the box a bit for that one.

Thanks NCnana! I originally painted forty-some glasses for my bestfriend's daughter's bridal shower. It was a Summer wedding and the colors were yellow, red, green and black. That sounds like a strange combination for a wedding but it was very summery and elegant. Anyhoo, the shower was a garden party and everyone loved their glasses, which were also the place markers at the tables. We used thin ribbon to attached small round tags with their names on them to their stems. I ended up making sets for myself, for my BF, the bride, and a few more friends. That Christmas, I made gift baskets with wine and those glasses for my DD's teacher and for her chorale director . . . who are both personal friends of mine, so the wine was (more than) ok with them ;^P
After that, I was VERY tired of painting glasses and haven't done any since!

Everything is just beautiful and so colorful. I remember your beautiful sunflower centerpiece from the Home Decor site. I was so impressed with the planter (as well as the flowers)...and still am. I agree, those dishes are gorgeous. You have a 'hidden talent' we didn't know of..

how each time you do a different tablescape, your home takes on a different look. All the different accessories you add to the surrounding area is so impressive. By the way, I'm in love with your view...That's a 'Vacation Spot' each day!!

Lynn, fabulous! How I would love to be sipping marguaritas and eating corn chips on your back portal - that pic is right out of a magazine! How you set up the tray, made the snacks and the view, all wonderful! And then, I would be delighted to enter your beautiful home and be a guest at that very festive table. Your dishes are gorgeous! I, too LOVE sunflowers so would love to sip wine from those glasses you painted, serve myself that delicious looking salad with the SF spoon/fork and I would NEVER ask you to remove your adorable sunflower centerpiece (LOL!)to make more room for me! Finally, please let me sit by your grand fireplace and enjoy a piece of the key lime pie and a coffee...not to mention your company! Way to go, Lynn!

Well, thank you all for the lovely compliments! This is the nicest bunch here and I'd love for all of you to come by for margaritas (or iced tea) and guacamole on my back portal. I mean that sincerely. If you're ever going to be out this was, let me know and I'll arrange a get-together. As for our views, yes, they're flat out drop dead wonderful. The view out back is probably the best, but take a peek at the view off our front portal. We like sitting out there at night watching the lights come on down in the town below us. That "bump" in the distance is a pretty tall mountain (escarpment?) and it's almost 60 miles away from my house. I took this picture at sunset while it was raining over there. Our state motto says it all: "Land of Enchantment".

Hee Hee . . . but it really is mine. You'll just have to come out and see it for yourself.
Now why can't I take pics of my tablescapes that turn out as nice?!? Close-ups and rooms at night are my downfall, it seems.

I'm late chiming in here, but must say I agree with all the other comments. Love the container and the centerpiece you made, and your dishes, napkin rings, placemats, etc. all look so festive. Love the dish propped behind the tray in your outside picture too. Most of all, I have to say that you've been holding out on us with your painting talents! I love the sunflower glasses you painted! They look great. And you did soooo many of them! Wow!

I have to say that the sunsets in the desert are gorgeous. I've been lucky enough to get to enjoy a few of them during our travels. So glad you don't take them for granted and still pause to enjoy them--nature's beauty.

OA, those are the cutest little decs . . . I love them! I'm heading down to town this morning and will see if they have any at Party City. I'm in charge of the food and decs for the big concert and dinner that DD's large chorale group is having at the winery next Friday night. I need to scout out decorations for the tables, although nothing Cinco de Mayo-ish ;^P If they don't have the pinata donkeys, I'll order from that site. I really like your idea of using them as placecard holders or napkin rings. Thanks!

WOW,Lynne! There's not a thing I can add that hasn't already been said. Its all so wonderful. I'm really crazy about that large platter standing up in the first photo. Its gorgeous. Talavera pottery is so pretty I think.
Love your 'purple' sunset. That's one of the best things about living in the southwest I think, the sunsets are really hard to beat. Mother Nature is an incredible artist.
