First of all...NO! You are NOT putting too many pics in your posts.

Wow, I don't know where to start. Everyone knows I love your cupcakes (wonder why?) so with that said...your tea set is gorgeous. Just gorgeous! And I love your skirted cake plate. I love the roses laying on the table with the ribbon swirled through. Your silver is a very pretty pattern and so is the china you've used with it. Is that a silver glass? I think you've done a fantastic job of decorating with your cupcakes. Thank you for sharing with us.

How can you say you're not good at this? What a beautiful spring display. Love it all, the china, cupcakes, and roses.

Thanks, Sandi. I treated myself to the tea set a couple of years ago. I do drink hot tea, but I'm the only one in my family that does. I can't have real flowers inside any more, so have to be satisfied with the fake ones. They last longer, anyway. ;-) My lilacs were gorgeous this year and smelled so good. They were a real treat. You could smell them as soon as you stepped out the door. We had some rather high winds two days ago, though, and they took care of the lilacs.

Yes, the glass is silver. I thought of you when you had the beautiful black and silver table setting. I've had them forever, and don't even know now if they are safe to drink from. I still use them occasionally. They are glass.

You just reminded me, I have my grandmother's china tea set stored in bottom of china cabinet. It's probably around 80 yrs old now. Maybe I'll pull it out and do a setting and take pix with it. That would neat for my scrapbook with her photos too I think. Thank you! Its real delicate and has pink and green flowers.

Hi, I'm drooling--but not over the cupcakes this time! Your tea service is just gorgeous. So glad you got it for yourself to enjoy. No tea drinkers here either, but might need a pretty tea service just to enjoy. Never too many pics--the more the better. You created beautiful arrangements. Hi2all, Your silver glasses are beautiful. They reminded me that my grandmother had a set of silver glasses when I was a child. Her's weren't sterling, but were metal. Very pretty. I love hot tea also and am the only one in my family that drinks it.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. You gave me a much-needed boost today. I do enjoy having tea, and often treat myself and use the "good" cups and such. Sometimes I think food and drink really does taste better in pretty dishes. I might as well use them, they will probably wind up in an estate or garage sale some day!

Kathleen, yes I remember the spit test for linens. I've never done it -- I can just think about spitting on my finger and sense my mother's disapproval. I can not imagine running that spitty finger over something. No doubt she would still find a way to punish me. lol

I forgot to ask you, please show us your grandmother's tea set. I would love to see it. All of the older dishes and textiles are so special. I always enjoy looking at the pretties.

lovely but I think you should put up a warning sign about those cupcakes.

I remember an old Laurel and Hardy movie where one of them ate the plastic fruit on the table!!!
