This morning's program 9-9:30 CST featured a home you all would have loved. One segment showed a room with floor to ceiling shelves holding a collection of dishes and collected items and almost each shelf was a tablescape in itself. Hope you caught it.

Oh wow, Minnie. I didn't see the show, but sure wish I had. Maybe they'll have a pic of the room online soon.

Not so much french country? I think it could be adapted to any type you want it to be - but the fact is, I've printed this out and will use it as my solid plan. It's going to be at the end of the beds I'm working on now. Can't thank you enough! I'll hopefully post pictures next year - if I can achieve anywhere near that perfection! If not, eh, I'll post a picture of my miserable failure, lol! The best part of it is that it's small enough to be doable for me.

LOVE the gauzy white sheers. Adding that to my idea book for sure. That ceiling is maybe not *quite* as dark as it appears in that pic, but it's pretty dark. And they used flat paint on the walls, so that sucks additional light from the room. I'm not a fan of that blue-green shade regardless, so that's a must-paint room. It's just a question of how much. And see how all the wood tends toward an orange-y tinge? I'm really not a fan of that at all, and I worry that using light, cool colors will clash horribly. I'd really love a grey wall paint color, but I'm not sure how well it would blend with all the wood. And for furniture, we're looking at the white slipcovered pieces at Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn. Here's a pic of the arch under the front porch; it's the same material as used in the sunroom ceiling. I truly love the silver grey look that nosoccermom is describing - in fact, I took a photo of a piece of furniture at World Market like it earlier, just to figure out how to reproduce that stain look. have any of you communicated your opinions with HGTV? I have..i have discussed many things with them such as bringing back GET COLOR when it went off..i thought it was a clever idea having people choose their favorite colors from a color wheel. one thing to remember, with the writers strike etc..all the t v programming has been messed up now for about 3 years..thenormal 13 weeks of new shows each season on several have gone to 4 or 5 new shows and then reruns.. so much for writers unions..they messed it all up. there are so many reruns because they have not been able to get the shows filmed and out there to the public..they have been going to cheaper shows to do for that same reason. we can all hope when summer is over and winter comes back with a vengance, that they will have the new fall line up something we will want to watch..but unless you actually contact HGTV or whatever channel with your opinions..don't expect to see something you like..they won't know.

Is this it? I took pictures off the tv, so the quality isn't great, but you get the idea/feeling. I did like her kitchen - charming and character filled.

Jim, I've never thought to take pics of the tv screen. Good idea. I wish I had that much room. I would love to have shelving like that.

I love watching Country Style since that is my kind of decorating. Below is the show's line up what they featuring on particular days. Don't forget you can always go to hgtv.com and check out any show that has been on.

Wow! I see stacked plates, topiaries, cloches, stemware and dishes--just our kind of show.

Jim, what a surprise--I would never have thought to take pics of the tv screen (Hmm, now that I said that, I do remember trying to do that waaay back when I was a teenager and watching the Ozzie & Harriet show and wanting pics of Ricky Nelson! Ha ha Mine didn't come out well--no digis back then either.

Luvs, had to tell you I can relate to trying to take pics of Ricky Nelson, I was soooooo in LOVE with him. Shame he had to die so young!! Have you seen his youngest son Sam, looks just like him & can sing too, but doesn't do it professionally!! The twins look more like their mom.

Jim, thanks for being "on the ball" and taking pics!!!

Where can I find a CLOCHE, I've looked & they are expensive!! Hoping someone has pity on me & sells one in their garage sale!!!

Yachter, I knew someone on here would relate! LOL Yeah, I was one of those crazy teenagers with posters all over the walls of the bedroom. For me, I think it was Ricky Nelson's blue eyes. But then I loved Fabian, Elvis and a bunch of others too! LOL

I've been looking everytime I go to Home Goods or Marshal's but haven't seen any cloches yet either. Lots of really tall glass containers with no tops on them though. Someone said I should check at Michael's. Hadn't noticed them there, but then I wasn't looking either. Maybe someone else will know of an inexpensive source for them.

I have been looking for cloches too...and only found a small one at kirklands which was 14.99 and I had a coupon...

I love the Antiques Next Right sign, with the arrow pointing to the left!!

I'd buy that because I understand that sense of direction!
