Gross Insect Infestation - What are they?
Comments (4)Beetles? Beetles are not gross. Not hardly. Now if you had thousands of slugs ... that would be gross. Ladybugs congregate in large numbers this time of year, looking for overwintering space. But surely you know what ladybugs look like. Ladybugs are beneficial insects. Box elder bugs are another possibility. Not as familiar as ladybugs. Black and red, but long instead of round. Still not gross, and not doing any harm. Don't try to kill them until you know what they are, and what damage they're doing....See MoreNeed help getting rid of German roaches
Comments (5)Sanitation, sanitation, sanitation. Beyond that: Good sanitation is the most important factor for controlling cockroaches. Baits are one of the best products for homeowner use. Baits come in a variety of active ingredients. Place baits under sink, undersides of drawers, along baseboards, near water heaters, and under or near appliances and other places where roaches will most likely infest. Over-the-counter sprays, foggers or "bombs" are not recommended as they scatter the roaches throughout the structure and into adjacent units in multifamily dwellings. If baits do not provide the desired control, it is best to consult with a knowledgeable pest control company. Also contact your county's Extension Service office and ask them. Locate your office with this USDA map: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/ Here is a link that might be useful: USDA map to locate Extension Service offices...See MoreGardening and roaches
Comments (1)Not sure what the problem is with roaches. They are ugly and offensive, but they won't hurt you. If you dislike roaches crawling on your food, then rinse it off before you eat it. There is a lot of stuff getting deposited on your food - bug and bird poop, soil bacteria, and atmospheric contaminants. You think roach footprints are worse? The infestation will naturally cease when it dries out thoroughly. Their life-cycle is a few months....See MoreAnt infestation in client home
Comments (11)@Sammy we can't share any photos of a client space without permission and I am certain that if I said we wanted to share bumpy ant covered trim photos this client would not be on board :) We have a Zoom pending this afternoon and will discuss the additional work needed and potential delays or stoppage unless the situation is remedied. Trying now to ensure that no one is eating on site or leaving anything behind that may exacerbate the situation....See Moremboston_gw
