I knew I wouldn't be able to resist going. LOL.

And am very glad I did. For awhile I've wanted one of those small pitcher 'n bowl sets (always reminds me of the large ones from my grandmothers' day). Well I found the PRETTIEST one I could have ever hoped for. I just love it.

And I couldn't resist the two pretty wine goblets.

Plus I found a lovely silk arrangement of pink roses in great condition. And a delightful little girl fairy, who's dress is actually lavender in spite of my photo She will be for my 5 yr old DGD's dresser. She's loves lavender and fairies.

Then I found two twig wreaths to decorate. Both small ones. I REALLY like the gold one, as it stands on a table and I haven't seen one like it before. Oh, the heart 'n berry twig wreath came from Home Goods right after Valentines. I am going to decorate it for Easter and Spring now.

Lastly, found these cute Easter bunny decorations. The little white one with the egg is a Hare...see the long ears! That's unusual to find, and Hares are my favorites.

My memory fails me, but who has the neat Cottage looking pieces (the little houses that the roofs lift off to hold stuff?). They had 14 different pieces of this!! Soooo pretty. At half off, they were now $5 each. I was tempted to come home with one or two myself but NO place for something like that in my kitchen. Dang. I sure wish you'd been there to see, or buy, tho.

Wow, another successful shopping day. How neat that they have a half price day on all their items too! Love the fat little bunny, and the little fairy is just so sweet. Glad you found the pretty pitcher and bowl, know you will enjoy it. I think the pink roses make it official--you are now a "pinky" too! LOL

Neat stuff, and I really like the goblets and that free-standing wreath! What a clever implementation.

The goblet with the multi-colored glass beaded stem is so unusual...

You never know what deals you might find! I haven't been going to Goodwill as much lately and sometimes I wonder what I'm missing but I figure what I don't know won't bother me. I did stop in last week just to check if they had a pair of snowboots in Dan's size, thinking it a longshot at this time of year, but there they were. Only $3. The size was missing but they also had a pair one size smaller and I just compared them sole to sole.

Thanks to all. Greenthumbfish, I saw that stencil at Hobby Lobby. I ended up passing on it because the repeat on the pattern was so small. I was afraid it might end up too busy. I wish they would have made a bigger stencil! Parma, I agree with you 100%. I think that day, my stiff upper lip was already starting to quiver b/c of the rest of the chaos I was having to be so strong about. Handling critique and suggestions (albeit harmless and trying to be helpful) that I had not solicited was just more than I could stand, especially when I thought I was pretty clear on the nature of the post. Again, it had nothing to do with the comments, and everything to do with the timing. Sometimes you just can't hear how you can be "better", especially when as you explained, "better" is so subjective to personal style. I will remember your words, though, and will make sure to laugh at myself as I count my accessories! Puna, I have to say I'm pretty dismayed as well. For the life of me, I can't figure out how removing those comments was necessary or helpful. (Yours and several others, including some of mine!) Ugh. LaFonda, yes, my stomach went into knots when the property manager called and said I needed to get over there immediately because water was "everywhere". I thought he was exaggerating. He wasn't. Ugh again. Joanie, I don't think I'll stop, but I think I may definitely change how I post photos. This post has served as very clear reminder of how some people think, and knowing I can't change that, all I can do is change how much of it I set myself up for. Patty, you got the whole point of the post; I was delighted to find something so pretty when I was going through something so horrid. Thanks for "getting it."

Christmas lights- half on, half off!! why?

Same thing happened to me this year, only one of the two strands that went out at the half way point is so high up in the Christmas tree outdoors (Put on LAST year...) that we cannot reach it anymore. So we just kept it on and rearranged the remaining lights to cover up the bald spots. (Used several roof rake handles put together to make a massively long pole and duct taped a turkey fork to the end!) I have spent so much time on this stupid tree every year...the dang thing just keeps on growing. It's taller than our 2 story house. There are lights on there that we will never get off until the tree is chopped down! Good thing I have nothing ELSE to do!! :-/

Karen, I love your pitcher and bowl. I made several years ago in ceramics. Nice stemware and roses and the little fairy is adorable. The valentine wreath is pretty and I'm sure you'll have fun decorating the others.

Is this little Spud hiding behind the candle holder? Maybe you and Kathleen need to watch those kids closer! Your other bunny and the pictures are pretty neat.

OK, this is enough to make me want to come visit and go shopping with you!! I have a couple of friends who are heading your way for a few days of EMT training who wanted me to come along but oh no, I have to work.LOL

So happy that you found so many neat things at the right price. I hope whoever has the Cottage looking pieces will share with us. They sound pretty neat.

Karen, it looks like you might be "tempting" Stud--errr I mean Spud with that pretty girl bunny! He's been such a good boy since his rehab too. Bet he can hardly wait for Kathleen to pull him out of that confining box again this year! I've often thought that surely I have a pretty bunny around here for him too--but never long enough to go find one and take her pic! LOL You are too funny! Love it!

Somehow I knew you'd find some goodies and you didn't disappoint! :-D

The pitcher and bowl is my fav, I wouldn't have been able to resist that either - it will be lovely in a vignette. Those bunnies (and hares) really do multiply, don't they! LOL
