Should all appliances be Jenn Air floating glass front??

If I buy the Jenn-Air floating glass CD refrigerator, should the dishwasher, also be glass front?? The range I was considering was not available in glass front, though there is another range model with a glass front I will consider if all should match. Thanks for your suggestions.

Your appliances should be compatible, but they don't have to exactly match unless you are bothered by it. Many GWers choose appliances by performance rather than all by one manufacturer.

Our kitchen has appliances from 5 different manufacturers, including an oven stack with floating glass (Gaggenau). We panelled some of them for continuity & to reduce the amount of stainless, since we have some countertops, sinks, 2 hoods, & hood backsplash in stainless.

That is good to hear Grace. As my current fridge is 31 years old and appears will never quit on its own, with the upcoming kitchen reno I've splurged on appliances almost as much as the cabinetry. I was originally planning for JA SS but the appliance store guys talk about the cleaning, dinging & scratch issues of SS in general and their wildly enthusiastic endorsement of the BFG for easy care & spectacular looks swung my vote. The only reservation I've had is that my cabinets will be dark brown stain and have pondered that they wouldn't look all that great together. Finished kitchen photos with dark cabinets certainly have more 'pop' with the SS. On the other hand the FG reflects back what is around it so the light floor & counter tops will hopefully add some of the lightness back in to the mix. I wonder why they are so rare in the marketplace? Have they just not caught on yet? I don't know how long JA have been marketing the FG collection. Will it take being used extensively in the kitchen magazines & TV shows for them to become mainstream? Or, as my mind wanders the labyrinth of appliance choices, may they like the Edsel car disappear from the appliance landscape for being so different.

Microwave/oven combo installed in new build 2018. "F2" error message July of 2022, so whole unit out of commission. (Homebuilder has same unit, same outcome.) Jenn-air said right off the bat we'd have to wait a while for the replacement control board. Just had yet another contact with them, during which they insist there's been no recall over that part, but they still cannot provide that part (?) and would I like to put us on a list to go to an internal review board, for consideration of a pro-rated replacement unit. My 2 questions: why would we WANT another Jenn-air?? and if they can't cough up the part because of demand ... how is there NOT a recall? I asked if they couldn't "rob" a part off a set in inventory, and the tech acted like he didn't understand the question. So, here we are. Oh, yeah, and on my first contact, I gave them the model number and serial number, and they asked ME for the part #!! How would I know the damn part #???

I've had the JennAire floating black glass sxs refrig and wall oven for about a month now and absolutely love it. I'd heard that stainless was a big pain to keep clean so I thought I'd limit stainless in my kitchen. I have a stainless dw and it is a pain. My advantium is mostly stainless with black accents. Cooktop is mostly black with stainless accents. A quick wipe with windex on the refrig and oven is all it takes. However, when the sun hits the glass in the afternoon you can see dust-oops. Overall I am very happy with the floating black glass. It looks sleek and modern and clean 95% of the time. Good luck with your choices!

I'm buying new fridge. I like the look of Jenn Air's floating glass. Does anyone have experience with floating glass doors? Is it practical? Does it show fingerprints? Is the white more practical than the black? I don't want to be wiping fingerprints all the time

Wow, I am doing exactly the same thing--mixing JA white floating glass fridge with other SS appliances. I too fell in love with the floating glass surface and wanted to make it work in our kitchen without compromise function and reliability.

I also had the same concern as sewwhatsnew, posted the similar question in this forum, got positive encouragements from wonderful people in this forum, and all the appliances are arriving next week!

Two things I did were 1) I chose GE Monogram oven and Advantium (both in SS), both of which have matching handle with JA fridge and 2) I chose white as my cabinet color so that the fridge will look more integrated in the cabinets.

The amazing kitchen in the previous post's link happens to do the same thing.
