Last Minute St. Paddy's Table

I just didn't have any St. Paddy decorations, but I still wanted to do a tablescape. So I pulled out my green glass and I found a scarf a friend gave me one year when I had a St. Patrick Day dinner. I think my favorite part is the daffidills that I picked at a falling down house next to my office. It's a little subdued, but at least I got one done. Anyhoo, here it is.

Well, that scarf is all you needed with all your beautiful green glass dishes & glasses. Very pretty & IRISH!

Thanks Everyone. The stuff on my stacked plates came from Michaels. The larger shamrocks in the mug are plant picks and so are the 4 leprechauns!! I just pulled the wire off them and they stand up fine. They have them with several different faces so not all 4 are same. Yep, the iron bunny needs a green bow. He's permanently out there and I didn't even think about decorating him. I have thought about painting him up a bit tho, just cause the rusty iron hard to see and not all that attractive. right now swamped with dog show stuff thru next weekend so not doing much other than the St Pats. And had a real bad week with pain so lucky I even got the stacked plates done. They are just too much fun tho. I've got to come up with something after Easter, as I cannot go till July 4th, this is too addictive. LOL. Karen

Karen, it was nice to see the rerun of your St, Patrick's Decorations. I hope you feel up to decorating for Easter. Right now my house is a combination of St. Patrick's and Easter decorations. I have the St. Patrick's decorations in the TV room and Easter things scattered through out the rest of the house. Thank you for showing the St. Patrick's album. I checked the blog crawl last night..what fun! And of course your St Pat's table is darling. What a great tablecloth! Gosh, looking at the stump house (which I LOVED last year also) gave me one of those lightbulb moments! Now if you'll just PLEASE remind me NEXT St Paddy's. LOL. In my garage stash of stuff for Garden Junk is a ceramic stump house I found at GW a year ago! I was going to work it into a new fairy garden and never did. Oh gosh, it must be the luck of the Irish to get up on Sat morn & see these St. Paddy's Day posts! I'm with all the Holiday-ers above & am happy you are keeping this t'scape up for while...it's delightful! You are so creative, punk, using those tiny green hats in the cloches & on the upside down glassware on each place setting (all that added bling!) Plus the coins on the salad plate and the glass stems w/candles & more St Paddy Day decor! All the stemware is beautiful! Esp the big glass container you used for the centerpc! & all the added stems & Leprechauns! WOW! That is just gorgeous all by itself! Double napkin colors & lime green flatware sure add to the celebration! All the candlelight (a trademark for your tables!)...just love it! Looks like it would be a great table for your b'day friend, too! WOW! All your beautiful green glassware is gorgeous! And the beaded napkin ties look so nice with the white napkins & tablecloth. The daffodils are so-o-o-o darn CUTE & oh, what a smile they bring!...they certainly bring out the yellow in the scarf, too...and that scarf does St.P's day, "proud!" TFS! Jeanne S.

It is very pretty! I love the green glasses and dishes, ( they look like my cake stand) and scarf, and the daffodils are perfect. A breath of fresh air!

Wow, Syble, you really do have a lot of green things. And very nice ones! Love your green crystal. And real daffodils are so lovely! Very nicely put together.

I have so few green things in my house that I can't do anything. I will be looking for that color when I go shopping in thrifts and YS tho. Hope to have some by next year!

Your scarf and the daffodils were just the perfect Spring/St. Pat's things you needed along with your pretty green dishware. It turned out really pretty. I especially like your sherbert dishes and the bottle and glasses on the little tray. Nice job pulling it all together. Luvs

Syble, Love your green dishes and especially the vase your beautiful daffodils are in. Your scarf worked perfect on your table for St Pat's.

You have so many pretty dishes and I always enjoy seeing them. I will be on the lookout this summer for some.

As always you all are so sweet and inspiring with your comments. Jeanne, I made those napkin rings the year I hosted a St. Paddy dinner, I love working with beads. Kathleen, the minute I saw your cake stand I thought it matched my dishes, they are depression "Green Bubble".
Luvs, that little tray goes with another little drink shaker and glasses, but I borrowed it for this table with Irish Whiskey in mind. Punk, I hope you find some dishes this summer, I just need to do some tablescapes with all the dishes that I already have. Between tablescapes, crafts, garden junk, Spring, camping, golf, and oh yeah work, I need a few more hours in the day and I am already loving this time change.

OMG Syble, your green glass pieces are wonderful! It may be subtle, but it's subtly gorgeous! How long have you been collecting the green glassware? I especially love your vase and candleholders. Are they vintage or just look it????? TFS!

Thanks Lynn, I've been collecting green glass for about 25 years and cobalt blue for 33. Most of it is vintage, but some is newer, like the green cut to clear. Here are a couple of pics of a portion of my green and a little blue glassware.

Stunning collections, and so gorgeous together in that last photo. I also have the glasses, and in 3 styles, that belonged to my grandmother. Sadly they stay stored and never used.
