Sometimes I see things at craft shows and think "I could make that". Here's my latest little project--can you guess what it's made from?

I didn't even want to venture a guess without some idea what was in there and the picture was pretty blurry but I could make out the Stouffer's, the water, what I assumed was pop, heard about an appliance. But didn't know if there was a trick to it about gift cards or something. But I was pretty sure it wasn't a "coupon queen" purchase by the items and quantities that I could see. Occasionally I'll do a "deli run" where I pick up deli stuff for a few days meals. Talk about adding up quick! But I have to say, spending money on food doesn't bother me so much, even if it's convenience items. As said, it's better than McJunkle's Was wondering when the answer would come! Thought maybe the Forum Gestapo would turn you in or something! :D Oh, and over $1000 CAD spent and NOT ONE DOGGIE BISCUIT???? Poor Duncan has a legitimate complaint! Just occurred to me... do you use a trailer to haul all that stuff? LOL Oh and the first thing that struck me about that picture was I have NEVER seen a store with that much open space in it! Short of when they're remodeling or resetting the store! What gives? And after flipping back and forth and taking another look at the two carts.... move over chemocurl!

You're correct, it is a nutcracker and perhaps the best nutcracker ever.... This nutcracker will crack the toughest nuts, such as Black Walnuts, Butternuts, Hickory nuts and Brazil nuts with one simple tap on the handle.

When I post these mystery pictures, I never know if they'll be easy or hard. But I always have fun with them. This morning I'm happy to announce a winner!! Luvs, what a good transformation for a frosted wine glass that you might not use anymore! A perfect holder for the pillar candle! So cute! You are talented!

OHHHHH, luvs...that frosted glass would be so-o-o-o darn cute for little/or teeny-bopper girls' b'day party table! "Some bunny loves you...Happy Birthday!" And the gift for each girl to take home! Those are precious! Jeanne S. ...well, big girls (errr, like grandma type girls, would love it, too!) LOL!

Wow! OA guessed it right off! I thought it might be disguised better than that!

DD, lots of times you end up with left over glasses after others have broken, so this would be a cute way to make use of them.

This was just a clear wine glass--Jaybird is right, it's the more sturdy bigger around type. I bought this one from the TS for 99 cents. I painted a coat of Folkart glass and tile medium on it which made it look sort of like frosted glass--then I added two coats of white acrylic paint to make it into the bunny. It's not for drinking out of since your lips would touch the paint on the outside. I'm thinking about making a couple more to give to my neighbor/friend gals as a little Easter gift.

Jeanne, you are right, would be cute for a party decoration/favor.

Punk, don't you just love the wired ribbons? So much easier to arrange nicely. ;o)

Like I said, not my original idea--I seldom have those! But I remembered seeing it and decided to try to make my own. Glad you enjoyed seeing it.

Here's your next assignment. Make one using a large water goblet with a plaid bow, one using a medium sized wine goblet with a pink bow, and one using a small wine goblet with, oh say, a polka dot bow. Then display together and you'll have a Bunny Family!

Luvs, I do enjoy the wired ribbon and yours is the perfect color for this project. It looks great with the placemat. I need to make some Easter bows for my next table.

Thanks, Kathleen and Sunnyca, glad you both enjoyed seeing her. I've been in a "creating" mood this week while staying in with DH who is sick with that cold/cough thing that is going around. Doing a bit of organizing and completing some unfinished projects. I had a leftover Valentine's project and finished it today. I posted it on the painting forum--I'll post a link in case you'd like to take a peek. Need to move on to Easter/Spring projects now. Luvs

Very cute idea, Luvs. Who'd have thought a goblet could be an Easter bunny! BTW, have you noticed OA has tendencies to get more 'work' out of you? I think you might have to give up being retired, to keep her happy.

Yes, I've noticed all those "not so subtle" prods from OA--I'd say she is jealous because I'm retired--but that can't be it since she's "sorta" retired too! LOL Just joking--I actually need a few "prods" to keep me motivated to create something--and creating something is so good for boosting my morale! (DH is all in favor of "boosting my morale"--he seems to think I can sometimes get a bit "grumpy"--mostly with him!) LOL

You really are very talented and IMO could easily sell you lovely things. Of course you really wouldn't be retired then, would you! Being retired is wonderful isn't it?

LOL about the grumpy thing. When we were in town yesterday I said to DH there seemed to be a lot of grumpy people around and he just looked at me. I told him I may be grumpy but at least I'm happy. He laughed. ;-D
