My table has been set for more than a week.
I thought it was time to post it.

I just realized I forgot to use candles..oh well I'm sure Pat and Mike would probably run off with them too~~

What a pretty table Nana! Love your plates and the little towels/napkins hanging from the plates. Looks like you're ready for your Irish meal on the 17th.

Love the 'pot of gold' for the napkins! Ivy decor just shouts to me for St. Pat's Day! Watch out for those wee ones...hard to keep under control! TFS, nana ~~Jeanne

Nana, love your table and all your food sounds wonderful. I'm lovin' your shamrock dishes. The lace tablecloth with the green under it looks so elegant. Pretty fancy green w/gold glasses. The creamer and sugar bowl were a nice gift! All the different greens look so nice together. Cute plants and flags you picked up for your table. I spent the afternoon doing the girls hair for prom. They were so pretty and very grateful. It snowed all day so I didn't go to the parade. I cooked a pork roast and baked potatoes and made a green angel food cake. Nothing fancy for us today.LOL Neighbors came over tonight and visited for a few hours and that ended our day. So glad you shared this table. Punk

mona, here are the insp photos that I was talking about. From Caroloyn Roehms book. In your email that I sent to you I described (in a little more detail) using (for example) the green glass chargers from Walmart and a few other things. In these pictures you can see that she is using silver as her prefered metal, whereas you are useing pewter (which is very beautiful too!), so I am basically just suggesting a substitution of "metals" your pewter for her silver. Instead of the red glass, you would use the green glass dishes and chargers at Walmart (IMHO still giving an elegant feel to a St. Pat's table). You would use green candles in your candlesticks, and use a low lying flower arrangement in the center of your table. Use green crystal/glasses if you can find them with your pewter goblet. Or you can use your clear crystal glasses if that is what you prefer. You can use a white table cloth or not, but I think the green charger would show up best against the white tablecloth. This look I am describing is a subtle "look" for St. Pat's as far as the normal St. Pats look, but you could always add in more typical St. Pats decor if you wanted. Please be forewarned that I will have to remove these pics a week or so after St. Pats, my Photobucket is 99% FULL, so the only way I can add more photos is to remove some. So with that said if anyone likes these pictures please same them to your computer since they won't be here long. (Thanks)

Oh boy, I guess you did have fun & it certainly shows, nana! Your St. Paddy's Day t'scape is dancing a jig!!! Your stacked placesettings have so many pretty dishes & go so well tog for this holiday...love the Ivy & gold, the shamrock edgings & those swirly DT dinner plates! And topped with those green sherbets...perfect! Love your 'little people' & that teapot makes a wonderful centerpc for St. Paddy's Day! Your 1st pic make me realize I had my knife facing the wrong way in my Rooster Spring t'scape! Ahhh, darn... I learned from something Kathleen said in one of her 'scapes! The linens you chose work so well...the white bkgrd & the table runners & very pretty napkins w/top hats! Well, the Leprechauns must be dancing away at your home! Love it all! TFS! Jeanne S.

Kathleen, your table is wonderful! And your glasses!!!!!! Since some times now, I'm wondering... Have you studied hostelry at school, or are you a "chef"? You have fairy hands! May I ask your corned beef and cabbage recipe (I suppose that's corned beef)? Unless you have already posted somewhere, and I missed it. Oh, and I also saw a very pretty and very tasty little cake in the shape of a Celtic cross... As my passion is History, Celtic crosses are part of it but I have never eaten ;-) My son just said "remove these pictures of my eyes! They are TOO appetising!" Anyway, it's 8.45 AM here and I'm going to have my breakfast because, I too, am hungry!!!!!

Would love to join you at the table, and keep an eye on the wee folk who are probably thinking of all kinds of mischief. Green is one my very favorite colors, it is serene to me. Plus I love anything to do with Nature, so green puts me right there in a happy state of mind.

Another wonderful table.
Pat & Mike look like they are full of mischief.
I love the gold coins, I use those too and since I gave up chocolate for Lent, they are safe from me eating them, LOL

Lovely use of the different shades of green.

Marlene, those are tea towels I used for napkins.
I liked the shade of green with the darker green in the tc.

Jeanne the wee ones are hard to control. They were hiding from me at the store
last year when I wanted to buy them.

Karen, I would love to have you sit at my table, we can keep an eye out for those little rascals, while we share a cup of tea and some soda bread.
I am so looking forward to green. Spring can't come soon enough,

Candy, I'm pretty sure Pat and Mike are fond of chocolate too.
Nothing is safe from them!!

Nana, love all of the dishes on your St Paddy's table. The little
glasses look like they match your dinnerware w/clovers.Super
sweet! The green glasses remind me of some we had growing
up.

Tea towels are perfect w/pot o' gold on them. Hope the wee
folk are behaving since you've given them a chance to play
on your ts.haha

Not sure I'll make it back here before monday so hope you
have a wonderful St Parick's Day!

I'm sure by now , Pat and Mike are in Full Swing Mischief Mode...with
St Pat's almost here.
You put together another pretty table...love the different shades of green in the
plates, frosted glasses and those adorable little cups..Even the cute Tea Towels
with the Pot O Gold for added fun....I'm sure the 'Wee Ones' are loving it
all. Did you promise them some Corn Beef N Cabbage to celebrate the day?
