I think these ones I make taste a lot like burgers, even my carnivore DH likes them. I have used soy beans, chick peas or pearl barley (I think the barley ones come closest to "burgeriness" :-) 1 cup soy beans/chick peas/pearl barley finely diced vegetables (carrot, turnip, parsnip etc) to taste 1 cup rolled oats 1 large onion, finely diced 4-6 tablespoons soy sauce 1 egg small amount flour Cook beans until soft, drain and mash (if using barley don't mash). Add vegetables, onion, oats, soy sauce and egg and enough flour to make it stick together. Form patties and shallow fry.

I don't currently own one, but I have owned two. The first one (white) I had was an extended length, and it was my favorite, the second one, was just ok. For some reason, (it was a dark green)several people hit me in it. Nothing serious, but bumps and lumps. I never had any trouble with either, they were great for hauling kids and groceries and anything I might need to haul. I don't drive a Ford now, but if I bought another van it would be a Ford for sure. Good vehicles. i thought I wanted a chevy astro, because they looked good, so I rented one before I made my decision, a good thing to do. Hands down Ford gives you more bang for your buck. Good luck! I disagree about replacing a juicer with a vita mix. Vita mix is a great machine and has its use in the kitchen. But to use a vita mix instead of a juicer is defeating the purpose of juicing. A juicer is designed to extract the juice from the fibers of the plant, separating the pulp from the juice. The reason for this is so that the pure juice, which is full of live enzymes, will immediately enter the blood stream(using no energy for digestion) and nourish your cells. It is important to remember that the fiber needed for good health is recieved by EATING fresh fruits and vegetables. The pulp that is left behind while juicing has little nutritional value, it is hard to digest and it contains toxins that a chemically grown fruit or vegetable may have contained. Fruits and vegetable juices are natural cleansers and healers of our bodies. It is amazing. Barbara, I looked at photos of the Escape and do think it would hold a wheelchair with the back seat up, best thing to do is take the wheelchair car shopping with you. My dad had a Taurus and if I remember correctly it was lower than an SUV. I have a Ford Free Style and found lifting a wheelchair in and out difficult, and it's also lower than an SUV. I guess it depends on your height, age and the weight of the chair, ours was old and heavy. Will you mother be able to get into and out of an SUV, I have trouble getting out of my Free Style, but I knew this when I bought it. My son drives an F 150 with large tires, when I ride with him he carries a small 2 step ladder so I can get up and down. You should have seen the looks on the parking attendents at the hospital last winter when I arrived for surgery, and he ran around the truck and grabed the ladder, he drove my vehicle to pick me up.
