Kitt, I think Shutterfly is set up so that you'd have to send an invite to each of us to view your images. From the Shutterfly Help site - "Shared albums and pictures are not made available to the general public." For more photo sharing options, check out the link below. You can post there or here if you need more help. :) Brenda Here is a link that might be useful: Posting pictures - questions and answers

That usually means that the rosettes are water starved due to dead roots or stems. Your plant needs to have the rosettes beheaded in order to correct abnormal growth from inadequate light. Leave less than two inches of stem, then let he cut ends dry in air for a few days, then plant in dry porous soil, at least 75% inorganic materials like perlite, pumice, gravel etc. Your current soil looks terrible, mostly peat which should be avoided. It will take a few weeks for the cuttings to grow roots. Do not water until you see signs of growth. Give lots of light, your plant is etiolated, growing abnormally, making ID difficult. It's probably an Echeveria or Graptoveria, or a hybrid. Brad

You guys are so cute...I am laughing my head off! Courtney, you are one determined gal I have to say! Go girl! Don't let a little old mystery plant defeat you. I do have to say it has defeated me. I just plain give up. And I may just have to keep cutting it down once or twice a year forever since I have valuable plants all around it which I can't afford to get Round-Up around. (Sigh) Dawn and Randy...We will try to stop making you have headaches and sleepless nights over this silly plant of mine, and now Courtney's as well...it has been a most frustrating ordeal trying to figure out this one...lol. I might not have ever posted for an I.D. if I had known what a pain the neck it would be...but now I am sort of glad I did in some ways since now I realize what a "special" plant I have...lol. It will just be another of many odd twists in my gardening attempts and the plant may win in the end as when I get too old or too tired to fight it any more it may grow up to be a huge tree right up against the fence...lol. I can just imagine being very old, (or perhaps not so old, if it continues to grow as fast as it appears to now), and I will go outside with my cane or walker to see what all my mystery tree has pushed over and crowded out. Surely it will get the fence between us and the neighbors, the neighbors crepe myrtle and red bud tree. The neighbors patio and the southeast corner of our house,(from it's roots) and all my red tipped photinias as well as the pocket garden I have next to the "mystery" tree with roses and hibiscus and lots of other flowers will die from it's shade...no telling what all it will over power...haha. And I will look back and remember the valiant effort all of you made to help give me an identity. When I write my life's story I will be sure to include the story of my "mystery" tree, and all of your names will be mentioned, with your permission only, of course, as putting forth such valiant efforts in order to tell the world what this monster plant actually is. G.M.

I was waiting for Mightyanvil to jump in, but he must be busy. This is his standard post and is the easiest way I know to post photos. "RE: Exterior options.
