spray wax versus wax

Do you think spray wax does the same good job as the traditional manual rub rub rub wax?

It's sure easier to use for me, mist, wipe and wipe off.

I've read a lot of articles that say that with clear coat finishes, you really don't even need to wax them anymore to protect the paint. Waxing does make a deeper shine, though, and it's nice to see rainwater bead up on the paint like it does after being waxed. Given that waxing is primarily a cosmetic thing, I can't see much reason not to use what's easy. The advantage of the rub-on waxes is probably that you get a thicker coat and the wax lasts longer. I haven't used anything but the spray-on waxes for 10 years or more.

I can't imagine not waxing my car. But honestly I wouldn't know if it helps or not in the long run. I have been leasing cars since 1992 and don't know what any of them look like today. I just know I waxed them.

My Dragon Tongue beans, which I'm growing for the first time this year, actually do have a slight buttery taste when cooked! I hadn't noticed that with other wax beans. For the most part, I'd say wax beans are somewhat milder in flavor, but, like the Dragon Tongues, can have subtle nuances in flavor which can be completely buried by strong spices or herbs. For beans cooked with Indian spices like cumin, coriander, hot pepper, etc., I find that green beans are better. Away from strong spices and herbs, though, green and wax can be used interchangeably. I like to have both.

How long to wait before waxing?

I would wait at least 3 weeks after the last coat of laquer to wax your furniture. A good coat of hard wax with a lot of carnauba will really protect the finish from moisture and wet glasses etc. I use Tre wax. I put a coat on with a damp colth in an area about 3 square feet....let it haze over and rub with a micro fiber cloth....don't rub hard but rub fast.... to create heat to smooth out the wax surface. Then repeat in about a week. Never use pledge, guardsman or anyother soft oily solvent based cleaner on a hard waxed surface or it will turn smeary. If perhchance someone does use an oil or solvent based cleaner...like orange glo or something, you will have to remove all the wax with mineral spirits and start over. I tried the spray on wax.I can not see that it does anything?Except possibly leaving streaks.
