Refrigerator water dispenser clogged

I have a side by side with water and ice dispensers that stopped working. I bought a new filter and now the ice is working but not the water. I followed the line and found that it is blocked at the bottom of the door the line goes into the door. I took apart the connector and the last place the waters is at this connection. So it is somewhere up in the door. Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this? Already tried just blowing in it and that didn't work.

Are you getting a leak at all? It's great you've narrowed it down that far. I would check and see if you there is something that can be removed at the dispenser end, something like a tap aerator?

When you blew in the tube, did any air go through? I guess what you want to try now is to reverse flush it, from the dispenser to the connection at the bottom of the door. Another thought is, when you tried blowing in it, did you have the valve open at the top? In other words, in order for water to flow normally, you have to push a bar or button, right? You may just need to have someone do that for you whilst you're blowing into that tube. You might be able to use a can of 'dust-off' or an air compressor or tire pump (be careful not to use too much pressure) - some electrical tape can help to seal the connection while you do it.

I'm sure you'll get it flowing, then remember to change the filter more often... ;)

We did the all-fridge all-freezer too and you're right that they don't come with water dispensers (that I know of). But have you considered adding a cold faucet with chiller at your sink? We did this and we LOVE it. No unsightly water streaks from spillage down the outside of the fridge, and we have the faucet at our beverage sink where the glasses are so it's more convenient anyway. I see Randy has already mentioned the most sneaky and most likely culprit. A piercing valve clog. Try this, disconnect the waterline from the refrigerator and put the end in a bucket and turn on the water. If the water flow is very good the issue is in the refrigerator. If the water flow is poor disconnect the waterline from the shut off valve and try turning on the water. I recommend a large towel for this test if the bucket won't fit under the valve. If the water flow is poor it is most likely the valve. If the water flow is good you have a clog in your waterline.

Refrigerators that dispense chilled water have a reservoir or tubing loop in the refrigerator section, typically behind the crisper drawers. Perhaps Samsung isn't designed with such?

I love my internal ice maker (it has a double pull out drawer and a scoop, so much better than on the door). I HATE the water dispenser- you have to stand there with the door open while it SLOWLY fills your glass. Three months in I bought a Britta filter I fill at the sink and keep in the fridge.
