Are you insane ? Why didn't you take the car to a rad shop and have them recore it ? They take a big pair of snips and cut off the core size you need from stock and reconnect your own upper and lower tanks. You now have a new rad. $100.00 plus tax. So, where is the water leaking from ? The rad or the engine. Makes a BIG difference. If the head gasket is leaking that bad you ain't driving the car. Something else is wrong. your first mechanic went away probably because someone or government was looking for him. Bottom line is, you got a PROBLEM. Find someone that actually knows what they're doing or send it to a dealer. Spend the money. Mind you if the trans is slipping send it to the press. You have what is called a disposable vehical.It's done it's time. If your husband is thinking of putting liquid glass or saw dust into the engine "somewhere" you might want to slam his testicles down on the toilet seat. It ain't going to work. Actually i'm wrong. It should work and get it off the driveway if you sell the car. I feel sorry for the buyer. Good luck.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but because it is a dealership, doesn't mean they are trustworthy. My sister had the exact same thing happen several years ago at a dealership with a vehicle her husband wrecked. At the time, she was going through a divorce, and the vehicle became her problem. My husband, although he no longer does that type work, went to a diesel mechanic college. He worked on cars for many years. My sister, of course, didn't know anything about parts, etc. so when the time came to pick up the wrecked vehicle, my husband went with her. He recognized that many of the replacement parts were not new, but used. Insurance was paying for new parts (this was all spelled out) and of course the dealership thought they'd make some money. Thankfully it was through insurance so they were the ones that dealt with the dealership. My MIL has a cadillac CTS, probably about her 5th cadillac. My husband has tried to get her to find a good, trustworthy mechanic and stop using the dealership. No matter what she goes down there for, they tell her she needs something additional. She is on her own, believe anything they say, and has spent $$$ on unnecessary repairs. Thankfully, I am on my third Toyota, probably will be on my fourth soon. Each have been driven over 100,000 miles and the most done to any of these vehicles was a water pump. I've never allowed the dealership to do any work on the cars. Well I think I did have some minor recall on the first one and had them do that. My husband is able to do maintenance such as oil, brakes, tune-ups, etc. He also has a good friend who we can trust if we need a mechanic. My moral of the story is you need 1) a dependable vehicle and 2) a dependable mechanic.

Having a bricks and mortar location, whether it's a retail location or just a commercial kitchen, can help the bottom line a lot. In some locations, with cottage food laws, some small time trucks might be able to do some prep and precooking at home. Having to prep and store everything in the truck becomes a logistics issue. Being able to pretty much empty the truck regularly makes keeping it clean and well maintained a lot easier. The name "roach coach" has reason behind it. Some localities inspect food trucks rigorously, and restaurants as well. Some only inspect them if someone falls ill. The mobility that allows the owners to take the food to where the people are also makes it easier to hide an unlicensed or uninspected operation. I think nowadays people in the food business are more cognizant of food safety rather than just brushing it off, claiming expertise from years of doing it wrong, and not having it get back to them if someone got sick. I once had food poisoning from an MLB park, but didn't report it. It was an hour's drive away and I didn't want the hassle. I'm sure a lot of people don't. Other than the sell and run aspect, however, now that we've shared so much (about the food I've experienced, it ranges from really good sandwiches premade and wrapped in plastic for the lunch rush to "what's that smell" into the garbage, but nothing worth following one on Twitter to wherever it was selling), the question really is, "What do you think of buying cooked/prepared food?" Given what everyone has said, from all over the US, at least, if not other countries, food trucks have the same range of good, bad and indifferent, pricy and cheap, fine dining(ish), fast casual and plain old fast food/short order, as the spread of other eateries. In small/rural areas where there are fewer places to eat out, food trucks make a big difference by offering one more choice. In places where people gather in large groups but which don't have food sales nearby, food trucks fill a gap in planning by bringing restaurants to the people (or the too stoned to drive/after hours crowds). When you have a food truck park, where there are trucks taking permanent spots, and a dining/restroom permanent building, you've basically got a mall food court, possibly with lower rent. The biggest difference is that the owner/operators are more likely to be small and local, rather than being priced out by big chains. The biggest food truck chain I personally know of has 20 trucks, not 500, and I think those trucks are on the model of the traditional taco truck that goes to work sites, rather than the millennial reinvention.
