Where to buy vanities from?

We're just beginning our search for a vanity aren't crazy about what we've seen at Home Depot, Lowes or Menards. We don't have any place near by that sells cabinetry so other than going to a cabinet maker, what might we might consider? (My dh will not consider someone unless others have had good/great experiences with them.) Are there any online places that people have ordered vanities and sinks from and been really happy with? TIA!

Honestly? I bought mine from Costco, through their website. It happened that I saw a cabinet on the Costco website that I had found elsewhere and really liked, so we bought it. It turned out a couple months later we could have bought it for cheaper through a cabinet wholesaler 140 miles from our house, but with Costco's return policy AND the fact it was delivered to the house, the purchase was worth it.

Thanks ~ I didn't even know Costco had vanities! I will definitely check them out.

Sometimes your reputable/fairly local HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing type stores that cater to the trade will have a separate fixture gallery to display their pretties like showers, toilets, shower doors, lighting etc. Their "main" store may be more warehouse type that has all the ugly plumbing, electrical, HVAC type stuff. There is a Kentucky based company like this that is my go-to place. They have a gorgeous fixture showroom. I agree - cabinet dealers are a good source for vanities.

Where to buy "only" a vanity cabinet?

Look at kohler.com and maybe some other manufacturers that sell cabinets if your size is a standard size. Then go to build.com and see what they have. I got my kohler vanity cabinet and most of my fixtures from them several years ago (their faucetdirect site, IIRC). They have a lot of suppliers. Call them if you need to talk. You may have to pay freight but it may be worth it. Do your research (reviews, shipping, returns, promo codes, etc.) I love my kohler cabinet. The pieces didn't fit together perfectly, but they were good enough for me and the overall effect is beautiful.

Well, the feet on this cabinet screw in so I’d definitely leave them off. And yes, you’d probably want to secure it to the wall. If you order from Wayfair, which I can’t recommend, be sure you look at ALL the reviews for a particular piece. There was another cabinet I saw that looked nice enough in the listing photos, but the review photos were shocking.
