gm bar is tube that is pressed on ends so it forms double layer. 1 layer always breaks first. easy to spot. but than single remaining layer is weak and also rusty so it usually breaks quickly. and tierod i changed 1yr ago is loose now. that is reason i inspected wheel area. looseness/rattle. oh, and maf died yesterday too. good car otherwise.

Delbert, Earthworm, thanks for the advice, well taken. The sway bar links (bolts) came cheap from local auto parts store. I did as you said and removed both old ones (had to cut them loose with a hacksaw). The washers and sleeve that surrounds the bolt were all "frozen" together after 12 years. So, there was no loosening the nut or bolt on either side. The passenger side bolt broke once I applied stress to turn it loose. Lots of labor hacksawing, but worth it. Sway bar swung free once both bolts were removed, and easy to install new bolts. Chilton's manual told what torque spec to follow and having a torque wrench is one of the best investments i've made. The axles are next - right after the brakes and tires. Have to take it a step at a time for pocket book's sake. I wont' need a front end alignment unless I remove the struts, correct? Struts / springs are squeaky, but no leaking and seem okay on the bounce test. Also, right now, car drives with no pulling to left or right. Thanks again! dennis

"Posted by dirtgirl07 - That's a beautiful dish! Love your asparagus swirl. Sorry, no help on the fish - no big fish eaters here.¨ Thanks. Give me time; I will convert you into a fish lover. "Posted by jimster ----- Once again I am knocked out by your design skill, dcarch. Due to the influences in my own training I tend to avoid symbolism in design. In this case however, I couldn't help but remember looking into the face of a wave as it reached the shore and seeing a big fish in there. Jim" Thanks Jim. You have ESP? In fact I was playing with the water theme; Asparagus swirl, pearl onion bubbles, and fish. "Posted by therustyone ----- Here it is marketed simply as "Basa". It is very good. Neither the flavor nor the texture even remotely resembles catfish in any way. It is, as dcarch says, very tender, mild, slightly sweet. Nor has it ever made me, or anyone else I've served it to, sick. I do have a tendency to take things like the article linked to above, with a grain of salt. Often a very large grain. ;>) dcarch, I too am, as jimster writes, once again, "knocked out" by your design skills. Rusty" Thanks Rusty. I like the name Basa better than Swai. I still have a few in the freezer. I think I am going to make a dish call, "Basa Nova" :-) Swai did not taste like catfish, it's milder and not as firm. I like the flavor of catfish. Interesting that catfish is classified as not fatty. I always like catfish because it¡¦s fatty. I am not concern that it may not be safe. I don't think that it would be sold here if it is really dangerous. I don't think I will eat it more than a few times a year to worry about the danger. Also, thanks everyone for the interesting information I have learned from you about Swai. dcarch

I've had a few IKEA pieces where the backs pulled off a bit. I can't really see the backs of the tall ones so can't see what's going on. Maybe the person who put it together skimped on the nails. I'll have to pull the fridge all the way out and climb behind. That's another project for another day! I will definitely get the plywood on the back of the island. I'm dropping in a new cook top. Turns out my measurements were a bit off. Spent last night grinding off a half inch of granite. Went surprisingly well actually. Built a tent of plastic sheeting around myself to contain the dust. Was a little iffy for a while but made it through. This home improvement thing is quite an adventure... Thanks again for all the help and support!
