Yet another toaster oven thread

Our three year old Euro Pro t/o just blew out. (Something let smoke out of the control area.) Now the task of buying a new one...

So in order of importance:

1.) Reliable. Should last for many years - like my long-gone 2-slice GE t/o did.

2.) Makes good toast. Reasonably quickly. One of the Europros downfalls is that it literally took about 5 minutes to make a batch of toast.

3.) 4 or 6 slice capacity. Pizza bump for 12" pizza pan would be nice, but not mandatory. (Both the Europro and its predecessor B&D had one and we do use it from time to time.)

4.) Cost. Hard to imagine paying north of $100 just to make toast.

5.) Convection. The Europro had this, but I am still not sure how much value it added.

Am trying avoid digital controls. They were the downfall of the prior B&D that we had. My thoughts are that 400 degree ovens and cheap electronics do not mix.

Looking at Amazon reviews on the various toaster ovens is depressing. None seem to really stand out.
