several years ago we purchased an "antique" dining room set - it has 13 pieces: large table with a leaf at either end that slides under the main table and then slides out, up and in to secure; 6 side chairs and 2 arm chairs, with leather seats and large nailheads; a large sideboard with 2 large, deep drawers and 2 shallow divided drawers above; a highboy and 2 large low storage cabinets. the wood is kind of washed with a bluish tinted wash. It is intricately carved, heavy legs on the table, tops of the chairs, front of sideboard and highboy, etc. Inside the top divided drawer of the sideboard is a small metal plate, nailed in that reads:
