I think the oven we have now is on the smaller side (standard for the time it was made) - circa 1960's. It has an 11" clearance inside and the Advantium has a 9" clearance if I can place the roaster on the bottom of the oven. I would lose an inch if I have to place it on the rack (which is the way I think they want it for circulation). I am going to phone customer service later today and see if they can answer these questions. We always do Thanksgiving for local family, that is for about 10 adults. We will also have guests later this year, 4 adults plus the two of us. I really *think* I will be fine with just the advantium, it does look a bit complicated to use though. When I used a convection oven this past summer, I was fine with it. Using the convection oven I used was not as complex as the Advantium seems to be. I think my mother (almost 90) will not be able to use it at all. I have never used a Nesco roaster, do you have any tips on using one?

seams are indeed normal unless it is a mega bucks house however you want to see some of the work the fabicator has done..there are seams you can hardly see and then ones that look like they were done by an apprentic..........under counter mounted sinks are the thing to do...... just be sure that the large sink will hold your largest pans or cookie sheets or you will find yourself with water all over or soaking things in the bathtub or outdoor sink..otherwise you go to a farmhouse look that drops into the counter and projects out in front.there are alot of really nice ones.......other choices are small prep sinks and the large one.that of course depends on the space you have to work with....most important light is the undercounter.... over heads and you are always working in your shadow.... good luck

medium oak floor and medium stained brown base cabinets...I'd prefer either glass doored uppers or white uppers..... or if you want brown uppers intersperse some open shelves....probably light counters and whitish tone backsplash if the white appliances are for the longterm. At the eye level is where you can mix in either open shelves....cabinets without doors....white cabinets... therefore making less of a contrast with ALL white appliances against all brown cabinets. Two toned kitchens are in favour-you have a good opportunity for that approach. The wood species depends on your home and the general style....country?-alder with the knots....modern-quartersawn oak in slab or shaker doors.....rustic?...hickory with stain and glaze can be great.

Putting your refrigerator against an outside wall with the entry door opening against it will not only bang up your refrigerator but could also make it difficult for you to open your refrigerator doors entirely in order to remove the shelves and/or veggie drawers for a thorough cleaning if your refrigerator hinge were to be on the left. What is outside that exterior door -- any chance it is a porch or deck and you could change the hinged door for a sliding glass one? If you know you will have a double door refrigerator, and since you could clean shelves without removing them, the remaining concern would be if you were planning to put a wall on the right side of the refrigerator. Wouldn't; just leave the side of the refrigerator show between the countertop and overhead cabinet and set your refrigerator far enough out so the cabinets don't interfere with opening the refrigerator door all the way. Consider moving your wall ovens to the right: have the wall to the right of your wall ovens be even with the opening to the right of it so that you can put a wider countertop between the cooking surface and the ovens. You need space to set a large heavy pot on both sides of any cooktop. Is the dining area within this kitchen your only dining area?
