Are there any good. free websites for selling classic cars online? I've got a nice '77 T-Bird I'd like to sell for a very fair price. Always garaged, original owner's placard and purchase papers. Never a night outside. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You get what you pay for, sometimes less.

If its worth anything, use one of the better sites to get it advertised, its not that expensive. Plus you could always use E-bay.

That car is crying out to be advertised on an owners club website or at a classic car exhibition. Do that and you'll have it sold for a fair price in five minutes. There must be t-bird clubs you can google and keep a lookout online and in the local press for classic car shows. If you have an enquiry from overseas I can help with shipping.

Here is a link that might be useful: ship anything anywhere

Noticed the same thing. A couple weeks ago one of the sidebar ads was crashing Firefox on me. It's stuff like this, and the total lack of spam moderation, that made me laugh when they were asking for volunteer FAQ editors. Yep, let me get right on that, iVillage.

I use firefox and its just OK. I don't know why people seem to be in love with this browser. It blocks ads until the ad companies find away around it. It's like anything else Flash is one great example. Supposedly there is an add-on that will prevent it from playing flash animations unless you tell it you want to watch it. I haven't found that yet. I don't use flash, haven't had flash on my computers in 5 years. It started out innocently enough. CHEESY intro pages and annoying animated graphics that hoard bandwidth and slow everything down. Fine, that's annoying but you can live with it. Then media conglomerates figured out flash was a great way to show us tv-like ads with audio instead of low resolution static images and unlike other video formats like java applets or windows media player, we needed flash to see cheesy intro pages and silly you tube videos. OH and automaker's web sites. Great. Hey I spend a lot of time on the web. I somehow manage to get by without flash. True I can't watch you tube. Maybe I'm missing out. But that's exactly what corporate America wants me to think, right.

Download.com is a safe place - provided you pay attention. It is very easy to get caught, you clicked on an advertisement not a recommendation from download.com, big difference. The advert says "Search and Destroy - free", the word Spybot does not appear and they will catch thousands with that sneaky approach so do not feel bad. Having removed the program I would most definitely go online for a free scan from Housecall, BitDefender or Symantec or your own favourite online scan to be sure you are clean. I would also run Crap Cleaner just to satisfy my mind.

Thanks for mentioning this! I am having so much fun exploring my new house. I've been looking for a decent 3D program with more options than the IKEA room planner. That program did a better job of letting me really dig into my kitchen layout and cabinet plans but I couldn't put in furniture. This works so much better for actually getting into the rooms and walking around to make sure that it correlates and there is enough room for everything we want / need to include. And with DH traveling he can actually see what I am talking about when we discuss changes. So far, I've created our great room & kitchen, our master suite and will focus on my craft room and DH's office next. I'll have our whole house planned out in 3D before we even start digging.

Forgot to say I remember that era T-Bird, and they were one of my favorite cars as a brand new mechanic. Do you have the crystal matching collored hood emblem?

This particular car has the 351 Windsor, pw/pdl/pb/ps, full vinyl interior with front center armrests. AM/FM stereo with working 8-track. Polar white with brown top and side mouldings. Original T-Bird wire wheel covers. No rust, dents, or scratches, nice chrome. I would like to sell it for around $3500.00

I would think its worth more than that. Have it appraised.

John_g, you may be right. I checked classic car trader online and the highest asking price was $10K, the lowest was $2800. My car is in a lot better condition than the lowest on that site. Thanks.
