"Frigidaire makes Electrolux, In my opinion they have a long ways to go with this new brand. They have had several update kits already put on the market to fix issues with the ovens control. When I say they I mean Electrolux." It would really be nice if you did your "Homework" before posting the "Poppycock" above. Had you bothered to even check the posts on GW, you would know that Fridigaire was bought by Electrolux, and Elux markets Fridigaire as their lower priced brands, and we see quite a few positive posts about the Fridigaire brand. The Elux Brand is maketed as a mid-priced brand, while their Icons are priced a bit above that. Elux has lead the way in many innovations as far as ovens go. Fully gliding out racks on ball bearings,"Coolest oven door in the industry", Perfect Turkey---fast preheat----etc etc etc! Also had you read GW, you would see that "MOST" folks that bought the Elux ovens are very happy with them, both from a reliablity as well as a performance perspective. They have also been happy with the service they received if it was ever needed. Elux did have a lotta Fridge problems a few years ago, and they did not handle those problems very well, but they learned from that, and we see few complaints as far as their ovens go. Kinda Sad to see somebody with the title "Appliance & Refrigerator Repair", be so "unimformed" I guess you got your "Training" from Sales People? (Most who are not "Reknown" for their appliance knowledge). Anyway, read GW, for a while, before making your next post, and that "Next Post" will certainly be more "Knowledgible" than the above, (Or at Least I HOPE)!!

That is a great deal, but you couldn't run fast enough to give me an all gas stove. In my previous house I had a dual fuel Viking and I loved it. In the current house, I have an all-gas GE Cafe. I hate it. EVERYTHING burns in the oven unless I use the convection mode. I was going to get the GE Cafe in dual fuel, but a friend who has the all gas GE Cafe told me that the all gas worked fine and I didn't need to spend the extra money. I forgot to take into consideration that she does no baking and no from-scratch preparation. All she needs is something that will bake a pot pie! Although I had not one minute's problem out of my Viking, I understand they can be finicky. I would only buy the used one if I could adequately test it. If you can get the serial number off the Viking, I'll bet their customer service can tell you how old it is. They may also be able to tell you if it has had any service calls. Viking customer service is very nice and very helpful. (I said I had no trouble out of mine, but the granite installers beat it up pretty badly and I had to get a repairman to replace some parts.) Based on what i have read it sounds like this may be the relay board for the lower oven. My suggestion is to read all the comments here and other forums( i have learned a lot from doing searches - including about the high temp reset button, which dacor wouldn't tell me about) and saved a lot of money. I would check this first since it is easy to do. I have the same oven and the bottom unit had the same problem about 6 months ago and we never used it much so i didn't try to fix it. Yesterday we started hearing beeps from the oven so i shut the breaker and put it back on and i got a very weird display "050 JJJJ 060" in the display and nothing would happen with the top oven. I called Dacor today and they told me that this is not a normal error code and that it could be from lightning/power surge but I probably needed a new oven control. I called a parts place I have used before and the price for the control was about $300, the top relay was $200 and the bottom oven relay was $80. He told me that I could replace them myself and i should start with the oven control. I also learned from Dacor that the touchpad is no longer available, if I needed that part. My light works so I was guessing that the touchpad worked. I I figured that I may try it since it would cost over double if i called a repair service, but since the oven is now 15 years old and the bottom oven didn't work i decided to go look at new ovens and figured it may be easier to junk it. I then got depressed over the prices of a good oven. Anyway i came home and decided to try the breaker again and see what code I got(I had already tried several times) I got the same code and decided to start pushing buttons, somehow the clock came on and then i tried to put in a cooking mode and it started working. Just for kicks i decided to try the bottom oven and it started working, it hadn't worked before for 6-12 months. I have no idea what is going on, but the word "off" came up at some point and i was looking at the manual and you can lock out the unit by hitting cancel and secure. I have no idea if we had locked it by accident but now both ovens are working. I can't say for how long, and but I will probably just replace it if it acts up again. Anyway, I would learn as much as I could and try to fix it yourself, sounds like most technicians are not very good at diagnosing these units anyway. Good luck

Thanks for your responses. I looked at the website and the R-A-D looks like a great product. However, I have some concerns... (1) What about my Trex? I would think that it would be quite bad for the cleaner and brightener to get on it (i.e., wouldn't it stain it?). It seems like it would be completely impossible to spray all the wood surfaces (e.g., including the support beams under the Trex and the stairs sides around the Trex steps) without getting it on the Trex. (2) If the Trex weren't an issue, I'd be concerned about getting the product on the area under the deck, which is pea gravel and my young kids' play area. Considering the effect it can have on vegetation, I'd worry about having the chemicals all over the pea gravel there. So, would power washing be my best bet?
